Did they fix the massive PVP world?

I played at launch, and I remember there was a world where there was supposed to be massive PvP battles... but it was not working properly at the time... did it get fix?  Is there active massive PVP currently?

    Maybe this forum is quiet for this game? :(   Maybe the large scale PVP is so far gone that nobody remembers launch?

    I do remember it. However, I thought that they closed it and just never re-opened it. It's been a while so I don't know what changes they have made to open world pvp.

    I'm going to assume the world has been closed as I have never heard any more about it.

    It's gone, they never were able to fix the massive lag, I guess the engine couldn't handle the stress.

    Do you mean Ilum? It's a PvE world now. Also home to the Gree event.

    There is a dedicated PvP area on Tatooine called "The Outlaw's Den".  That's all there is in terms of dedicated PvP areas, but on any multi-faction planet you can flag for PvP which will transfer you to a PvP instance where you can attack others.  Additionally the new planet of Iokath highly encourages open world PvP as there are very few safe-zones for when you're flagged, and a big source of the currency for that planet is player kills.
