This game is a mmoarpg similar to Diablo 3 and path of exile, except it actually features real time persistent universe, yup, you can grind and someone can just pop out of no where, pretty fun.
I find the gameplay itself very good, skill variety and possible tactics are really satisfying.
Graphics are nice.
Monsters become challenging a bit from 25+
-yeah the leveling is very nice, not too easy but not too hard.
It might seem pay to win, but i don't feel like it. You can get everything with enough grind.
No random enchanting system.
Oh and they have both pvp and pve servers.
Anyway, my English is crap and I'm bad at explaining myself, but it's a nice game and I'm enjoying, should give it a try if you are into mmoarpgs.
Basically clicking away text windows ruins every MMO, try to have fun instead of rushing things. Without story and lore all there is left is a bunch of mechanics.

Try The Dark Eye.
yes i would play 1 , before 2 , the lore and story do tie
and the sequel ...http://store.steampowered.com/app/33770/
Both fantastic games as good or some may argue , better than NWN and BG for ex..
The game with the deepest and most extensive use of the Dark Eye system is ..http://store.steampowered.com/app/237550/
But i did not enjoy the interface or voice overs in this one .. ... shame (a sequel is in the works, hopefully they address these issues)
To the OP , Drakensang online has very little to do with the Dark Eye system other than some lore and using the name ,altho an enjoyable ARPG with some fun classes and combat , the cash shop becomes heavy handed ..Suckin the fun out of the game as you progress
I have three of the games in that bundle on GOG so hesitating whether to get it now.
I am very intrigued @Scorchien of your better than NWN and BG claim so I sprung for them and since there is a 75% off of River of Time sequel I bought both for a song.
If i have a single complaint with Drakensang , its exp and sequel , it is ONLY at times the camera can get frustrating .. But this happens in most games of this type .. its no breaker by far

When the original guys got bought out by Big Point all they sold was the Name; Drakensang. They did not sell any of the intellectual property so even though it's called Drakensang Online, it has nothing at all to do with The Dark Eye system; i.e. the old PnP version or any of the RPG SPG versions.
If fact the successor company of the originals is currently translating and marketing in the US the Dark Eye gaming systems and adventures for PnP play.

As to Drakensang: Online. I have played it a few times including when it first came out. And while fun (it was better when it first came out) it has become a pay to play type game.
Now as far as the original SPG versions go. I can't recommend them enough. They've aged well and involve thinking and character management, not just whack a mole type game play. Also there are game fixes listed on steam so you can play them on Win 8 & 10. Very useful when playing older games.
SWG (pre-cu) - AoC (pre-f2p) - PotBS (pre-boarder) - DDO - LotRO (pre-f2p) - STO (pre-f2p) - GnH (beta tester) - SWTOR - Neverwinter
This explains the Dark Eye Core rules will this be useful ? This is a series of videos that explains the German text and overview.
For the SPG's (Drakensang: The Dark Eye, River of Time and Phil .... Secret) and the mini text game at tde-games.com yes.
