Makes me think of the fictional facespace name used in Crime TV shows. Nice site though :)

I actually think @Meddle is going to do some work on the forums. I'll poke him.

Looks like someone is trying to be more like Massively.

Alsi explains why they gave up on efforts to upgrade this site.
    1.) How?

2.) Nope. Just don't have another fortune lying around to pay for it, so it's all on Ben.
Last evening I pulled up the two sites on my laptop, there are definite similarities in look and feel, menus, social networking shortcuts, almost as if created with the same tool. (maybe it is)

Differences as well of course but a nice clean look.

I see. I just did the same. MOP may use Wordpress two, but the themes are really different. They use the traditional blog roll with modules, whereas we use a more image and title lead in. But they're definitely clean and to the point. That's something we'd love to do here, eventually.

Yeah, MOP does use Wordpress as well. It's really not all that surprising. At this point, I think that writing a custom CMS would be like writing a custom OS for your new computer. It's kind of pointless considering it's already been done, probably much better than what you'll ever do, it's extensible, and it's got such a massive community that there is almost endless support, plug-ins, etc. Other than that, I have no opinion on the subject :awesome:

Did you give up on updating mmorpg.com and just decided to start a new website instead?

Just followed a mention in one of Bill's articles and lo and behold all the usual suspects are doing articles over there.

    http://www.gamespace.com/

Have you noticed us giving up here? Not a chance! We update with the same number of features and news every single day. I'll leave the rest to @BillMurphy
Do you think maybe this could become an MMORPG site again? Since you have another site for the rest of the content now, why not?

@BillMurphy  I registered over there a couple of days ago and received a message that I'd be getting an email registration.  I never received an email but I just now successfully logged into to http://www.gamespace.com using that same email address.  And yes, I looked in the spam folder.

I guess my question, then, is if I come here excited about our soon coming lord and savoir Shadow of Mordor 2, and start a thread proclaiming it's the salvation of single player games, then will it get locked asked to move the discussion to an entirely different site?

In other words, is the new site an option or a rule?

I don't care what label or title a site uses, all i want is honesty.
That means nothing misleading, disguised or carrying an agenda.
I want to know the author of any article is truly interested and not just paid to carry out an agenda.
I want to know that when NEWS get posted this site or any site is truly interested in the news and again not behind some agenda.

In other words,i like to know that everyone is on the same page, they love gaming and want to see gaming always improve.

A bonus to above would be if top end media sites are a better medium between gamer and developer. As of now every single media site is making money from these developers,so it is all pampering and bias and this is why games are stagnant right now, because every media source be it streamer or You Tuber or website are greedy for a share of that money.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

@BillMurphy Have you guys ever considered adding some articles or news on tabletop games? At this point my guild and I run games using most systems under the sun. Numenera, Pathfinder, Fantasy Age, 5th Edition... Tabletop and board games are getting pretty popular and I'd love to read articles or reviews for things like that (not all the time) but in-between PC games and MMO news.
I like to complain about games.

Agreed, confirmation email system is not necessary nor working, I was able to log in immediately after creating the account and no email was sent. (or found in my spam filter)

That's a great idea for GameSpace.com! :) Ever considered writing some reviews or previews? We can use talented folks for volunteer write ups there. :) Just give Bill a shout! :D

    Good question for @Mikeb ;

I guess we'll have to revisit some things, but my guess is that widely followed and "big" games (i.e. Mass Effect, Overwatch, SMITE for example) etc. will still be covered here and there, at least in the short term.

That sites pretty good looking so far, I got signed up and all that. I actually got my confirmation email within seconds, but it went to my junk folder. It does feel a tad cluttered but I'm sure with a bit of time it will be sorted out.

My guess it will be a new option. As MMORPG-centric contents will be put here, MMORPG.com tends to draw more MMORPG-centric discussions, and vice versa.

Great suggestion. There has been quite a resurgence of table top RPG gaming in recent years. IDK much about them and gamespace could be a great source for that.

Kopogero and Nariuseldon long-dead accounts, who's the brave hearts that will resurrect these empty vessels?

The sooner you can convert MMORPG.com to the Gamespace format, the better. Archive whatever you need to.

Surely you joked. Real account of Kopogero was banned permanently, but I dunno about Nariu..

And to be clear, I meant to resurrect them in gamespace.com, not in here.

Kopo is definitely back as well, they restored his account apparently.
