Standing Stone Games is made up of people who used to work on LOTRO and DDO. DayBreak does not own LOTRO or DDO. They are simply the publishers of the two games.

ddo and lotro are doomed to cease to desist from existing, the games are wayyy too hyped they couldn't possibly live up to players' expectations. Daybreak will milk their cows and butcher them for stew meat at first sign of trouble, do not try these games out, i repeat, do not bother.daybreak has a proven track record of olympic gold medals at losing players, 1972 at munich style, all the wrong decisions like going f2p with humongously p2w cash shops, are the direct fault of daybreak. When you think about it these old games with outdated graphics and lame pvp have suffered so much under daybreak, the business model is so cruel to players, across your entire existence in the game you will be asked to cash out some moolah to travel to bree faster or to get a 100percent crit chance on your crafted eggs and bacon. That's just the beginning. The game has smoking and drinking so it's not suitable for children or people under the age of 42.also elves and dwarves are gender specific, wth, why can't i play a female dwarf like in archeage? the good thing about archeage is thier marriage system, and don't tell me it's lore breaking, if you hadn't slept through the epilogue of the return of the king you would know that same sex marriage is canon.the horse manes are terrible looking and that's just lotro, ddo doesn't even have mounts, not that anyone cares about ddo, neverwinter is one of top tier games in the market today and is a direct competitor to ddo. Thanks daybreak. Also what will happen to the lotro and ddo licenses? obviously daybreak only bought them to make a sandbox survival game in mordor, which will obviously fail because mordor is ugly and lacks elves, which is the only good race in lotro, they should add cat ears to them to make them better tbh.ijs none of that even matters because the mordor sandbox won't even ever be released in early access, they'll just try to get as much of our money as possible from early access preorders and then we'll get no man's sky 2.0.mmorpgs like lotro and ddo aren't going out of style btw, there's still so much you can do with these types of games, it's just developers these days don't know how to make good games, they just want a quick buck and then realize they might have been better off doing mobile games or mobas. if people like me were in charge the mmorpg industry would be thriving like the video rental industry.
This is great news. I would like to see some changes in both those games. If LOTRO could get a better character creation and DDO could get some world content and no more pay-to-play dungeons they might be worth redownloading.
