As much mess as I give Funcom about being FUncom, opening up The Secret World and entering Kingsmouth/Savage Coast/Blue Mountain for the first time is one of the best gaming experiences I ever had.

This horror/mystery setting was great. I wish to see someone build off that concept and make it better. Open World and better combat would not have ruined TSW.

Looking forward to Vampyr, haven't had a decent vampire RPG since Bloodlines. I grew up on the Lovecraft movies so also looking forward to Call of Cthulu.

Vampire really does look great. I hope it lives up to its style.

I'd love a new Legacy of Kain that isn't some POS arena battler.

Me too. Can't believe Square Enix relaunched all Eidos' old IPs but LoK. They even started making a new one but got cancelled at early stages. I doubt we'll ever get a new one. That game redefined story-telling in video games, combat and puzzles and 3rd-person action and did a whole new take on vampires. I miss them series. :(

I love grimdark fantasy scenarios such as darkest dungeon, grim dawn etc...we definatly need more of those...i just fear since the audience is more mature it is also more limited and thus financially less viable... more cthulhu games (good ones) would be great too....

@BillMurphy @Grakulen, have any of you heard anything else about New World?

Carve your own destiny in New World, a massively multiplayer, open-ended sandbox game set in a living, cursed land. Choose how you play, what you do, and whom you work with or against in an evolving world that transforms with the seasons, weather, and time of day. Band together to reclaim monster-haunted wilds and build thriving civilizations, or strike out on your own, surviving in the face of supernatural terrors and murderous player bandits. Focused on emergent gameplay and rich social features – including deep Twitch integration with broadcaster-led events, achievements, and rewards – your only limit in the New World is your ambition.

I feel like Amazon announced it, and went completely radio silent about it. It appeared to be horror-ish.

It is nice that the game companies finally remember that there are plenty of good RPGs without dragons or dungeons. There were more then a few games based on other tabletop RPGs in the past, from Shadowrun to Vampire but the last 10 years or so we just get the same D&D games.

Really looking forward to Vampyr. I loved DontNods Life is Strange and Remember Me was decent as well. I haven't heard about Call of Cthulhu. Will have to check that one out.

TSW doesn't get enough respect for its great atmosphere. I can't think of any other game that was this good at building up creepy horror experiences.

I still say TSW has some of the best 5 man dungeons around.

TSW has a great theme which is well done. The combat puts me off and every time I come back to the game I grit my teeth through the combat. I understand it, I can do it, but it just doesn't feel fluid enough for me but the stories are A+

    Cthulhu is misspelled.

I saw Arrival and it too resembled Cthulhu.

Vampyr may be a success. Call of Cthulhu won't be worth anything because Cyanide Studios is chronically incompetent. All they do is take old tabletop licenses and fuck them.
