I didn't care for the beta, I paid to play it. I thought the animations were pretty bad. I thought the movement felt "off", hard to explain. The 3 control systems don't feel that great. The text is a mix of chinese, russian, and very rarely english. The audio is all chinese (yeah, it'll get patched). The character creation looks like a rip off of aion and blade and soul (games much older). The character models also look like they're a few years dated.
I'm not saying it's a bad game, it just wasn't for me.
The localization is the only issue for me and only gets worse as you get higher. Sure its the first cbt phase but My.com really dropped the ball. Almost felt like they didn't even pick up the ball. The game is good though, it just really needs to be translated to enjoy everything the game has to offer since there are a lot of systems in place. Horrible first impression to the west thanks to my.com though. Only base game complaint I have is the story quests could use quite a bit of refining since there's honestly way too much running around and talking.
The graphics in this game alone are spectacular, there are dungeons, raids, battles, arena's, you are given a horse at lvl 20 i believe, 30 you get wings, easy to find quests, large map, nice drops from dungeons, I am not sure why you didn't like this game and also if your in the NA beta right now i would expect that there is still chinese but hey I don't speak the language and i can get through quests. Beta will have lag its expected. There are various prices also for the packages and atm I dont see any games out there that are quite as fun The characters vary from one to another depending on how you build them which is also a plus, really there is alot to this game.
BDO is a cash grab, grind the heck out of mobs to gain little XP, I quit the other day tired of the grind and working on gear. In order to be the best in this game expect to spend hours making money to upgrade your gear and hope it doesn't fail x 10 or you will have to start at PRI again. Graphics aren't bad.

The translations should've been done to the point that they set the level cap. If you're unable to understand the things that you are supposed to test, it kind of makes testing them pointless? Especially if you do not know exactly how to report it if there are bugs since...ya know....you can't understand the thing you are doing.
As for animations/missing npcs/such, yeah cbts are for that. Localization should be done by alpha period tbh. Even AA has better localization in its alpha period than this.

Nice try, but that tired old excuse of "it's beta" isn't gona fly here. First of all, this is not a new game, it is just a localized version of a game that has been live for a year or more. The whole point of this beta was to test the localization primarily, so how does that happen when most of the game is not translated? Sure, they are testing server capacity and all that as well, but doesn't it just make sense to actually translate the game first and then start doing testing? This is just plain old laziness, bad planning, and the usual rushing of deadlines for no reason at all. Same old mistakes, different game. This was just shit stupid to make this the first impression many people will have of this game.
So no money needed? You can play fully for 100% without losing any perks or stuff like that? No ingame cash shop or sub models giving subscribers an edge or extras?

I would like to try the game out for myself, but from past experience, I did not gamble and haven´t bought a founder´s pack. I´ll be patient and wait for a key or open beta to see if it´s something worth my time and money.
Charging money for entry only to have 10% of the game translated is a complete joke.
Its also just another run of the mill Asian theme park that is maybe slightly better than garbage like Echo of Soul, Cabal 2 and Riders of Icarus but has way worse actual gameplay than BDO, Tera and ArcheAge.
I payed for 7 or so hours and all I did was mash F and Spacebar 90% of the time. The leveling phase is a linear quest grind on steroids where you basically don't have to do anything yet you are constantly spammed with levels and rewards. Kill 10 rats? Nah just auto-run, watch a Chinese cut scenes and DING level up.
It will go massively P2W after release and the 90 dollar pack already gives you a 5 week head start of gear grind. Credit Card --> Cash Shop Items --> In Game-Gold --> Materials --> OP gear.
The non-whale will go down a never-ending daily quest rabbit hole where you do the same few tasks for eternity with the reward ultimately being the chance to pull the slot machine handle in the crafting casino to get the best RNG gear.
Its an even more cynical cash grab than AA and BDO in that they don't even feel the need to localize the language. There is no reason to play this over GW2-ESO-FF14 other than its 'new'. This is just the next riders of Icarus that will be dead in a few weeks.
Funny you guys posted this. I watched someone streaming this yesterday and she made a female character and before the tutorial even started it zoomed into her character for a blatant crotch shot before she even had control of the character...

Players nowadays are so entitled, whining about f2p here and there as if the company owed them something. Not only that, it's a korean game and -THANKFULLY- was brought to the western playerbase... yet, the community whines about not being completed during CBT. This was more of an alpha rather than a CBT, imo. smh.
I have played it all day and haven't had any issues other than my lack of understanding Chinese, although it hasn't stopped me from clicking stuff and testing it out.. The world is great as for horse and having wings in some areas you can use one but not the other... the emotions in this game are pretty fun, you can pick ppl up and hold them / kiss them lots of emotions also, personally I can't say enough about it ok back to afk fishing and maybe a dip in the hot springs for some social experience XD

Correction: People are given a chance to win a beta key. If they charge an entry fee to the beta they, as developers, should acknowledge they will receive all the weight of the critics.
There should be a consumer's ToU(Use?)/EULA that includes this clause and companies should abide by it just like we have to accept theirs as service providers. Without consumers they don't make money so.....50-50 i say hehe.

Actually, no...the founder packs are not an excuse to complain that the game is in beta and not a polished game. If it was in open beta the argument would have merit though. This however is CBT 1 and is being tested more as a stress test than anything. A founders pack is a means to get into beta but the true intention is to give you a deal on items when the game releases and not a sole purpose to be a early buy in on a polished game. However, it is a free country so I guess people can complain if they want to.
I agree on the game not being translated that it can be very frustrating but even so I am having a lot of fun with this game. I even died once in one of the trials because I didn't at first understand the objective...(it was the bubbles that you are suppose to avoid, i was popping them with my toon...not paying attention to my health) I had a good laugh over it and moved on. The game has a lot of depth it would be nice if I could understand some of the different mechanics but with it not being translated I have to figure it out on my own and makes the game somewhat challenging to me. I can understand people not wanting to play it though until they do have more of it translated.

The beta excuse is nonsense since the game has been out in 2 other markets for a very long time. These are just games that have run their course in Asia and get dropped into the Western market for some quick dollars.
They don't even bother to translate them anymore it seems.
I have it, but it's kinda generic. I played for a bit and haven't been on since, something about quest spam games that just aren't fun anymore. It reminds me of BnS a lot, lots of weird bewbsandkiddies and has this same kind of story thing going on. The flying was neat though, I did like that. But I also enjoy gathering and this game has an energy system =(

Why do you need to alt tab back to AFK fishing? So you can go to the hot springs to afk level there instead. Sounds like a blast to PLAY!!
