Kind of funny, they have to jump on the survival bandwagon. Makes you wonder if anything from the original game will be kept.
They've got to hit all the buzz words. This is another wait and see.

I do not need reviews and actual gameplay to have intrest in a game. If you do then have at it but I am super excited for this game and will be playing Day 1.
Ah, the one with unconfirmed in the title and not verified in the text. ok.

Does anyone see the connection between survival games and Minecraft? I wonder if survival games are the result of the Minecraft Generation.
Pardon any spelling errors
Konfess your cyns and some maybe forgiven Boy: Why can't I talk to Him? Mom: We don't talk to Priests. As if it could exist, without being payed for. F2P means you get what you paid for. Pay nothing, get nothing. Even telemarketers wouldn't think that. It costs money to play. Therefore P2W.
I'm interested, I like the concept as far as that goes.
I really dislike 1st person only, that would be a killer for me. I can accept the Darkfall sort of limited 3rd person, but I'd like a little more range than they had, maybe only 25% more would be pretty good. I hope there's a way to look at the front of your avatar, even if it's in an avatar window, because I want to see what I look like to others. I guess I'm an clothes horse, lol.
Speaking of that, I hope they have plenty of "slots" for wearables.
I'm keenly interested in the lore in the exploration.
Another thing, I hope they don't have large power gaps between levels, that pretty much separates the Sandbox from the Themepark.
There's a lot to find out about yet.
Good read...the question regarding griefing...answer is simple. Don't let pvers go to pvp server because they like an element of pvp and then bitch when they die and vice versa, don't let pvpers go to pve server expecting to grief when it's the pve server. Simple.

As long as the RPG is there, i'm fine with survival. I'm playing Modded Skyrim right now with all of those Survival packages just to increase the difficulty.
Haven't heard anything I dislike about this game so far. Just need that game play video.
Hype???? No, no. Come on now, lets not go down that road again.
This game and the supposedly re visioned age of conan interest me for one big reason.
They are promising the game to have stuff to do (Specially pve stuff) other than crafting/building and killing other people while "surviving". Pve server also helps.
Sounds too much like ARK, only with something different to dinosaurs, and i really regretted buying Ark, whether its pve or pvp makes no difference, i have absolutely zero interest in yet another survival game, i guess the next thing they are going to announce is that there will be occasional zombie invasions or something.

I hope magic isn't dependent on having a staff. I like the traditional magery where the caster uses his hands, and staffs/wands are an additional thing that saves on mana power (or whatever).
Some of it sounds very UOish. I remember always carrying around a stack of fish to keep myself fed. Of course if I didnt eat my character wouldnt die or take damage but still similar.

Yeah, in UO didn't you gain skills faster if well fed? Maybe that was just a rumor? I don't remember why we ate now, but we all did. I've always believed that there should be importance to food, which would add more importance to farming, hunting, cooking, player owned taverns, campsites, etc.

I don't know if any of it was true but I heard skill gain, miss rate, fizzle rate, crafting ect.. Just about everything was said to be helped.

Wurm online came before minecfaft, in fact it was made by the same people. So survival mmo was here before minecraft, Wurm online is Minecraft on rails.

They have the same system in Age Of Wushu, you need to eat.
It's the same dev team so they know the system already works.
A first-person survival game with tameable creatures based on the UE4 engine?
So, it's ARK?
My initial thought was this as well, although more Arthurian fantasy than prehistoric to modern day themed. As I thought more about it D&D came to mind, which seems weird but here's my line of thinking:
There will be cities and a lose world story. This gives a sense of permanence predating each player. This is one degree of separation as most survival games start off with a blank slate. These cities, although players can create their own as well from what we've been told, will serve as launching pads from which to plan adventures. This is a second degree of separation from usual survival games as usually one has to constantly be foraging as time goes on. If they plan to have farming this would complete the loop IMO as the means to go on adventures can be a cooperative affair with crafters (along with crafters making weapons and armor).
I think a big difference is that from the sounds of it, whether by NPC vendors in a dev created city or a player made one with player made goods, the survival of each player may not mean everyone foraging everything they come across. I think this will feel less like a typical survival game and more like a D&D campaign you have to adequately plan for.

They're not planning to have any currency. I think that means there won't be any vendors in game either.
But it's hard to be sure. For a game that's supposed to launch early access soon they're giving us way too little communication.

That doesn't mean I'm not sceptical tough.
I think from other videos that 3rd person view you are seeing is thru your eyes looking at your group members
