Fair comment, could you expand just a little?

I can't put into words what this game will do to you.

Are you onto something or just on something?

haha, I do know the game, played for beta and a month or two at launch. Can you expend on what you mean in it's current state though?

Wow ,that video ,it was funnyyy :D

Anyway, i had game installed for years, played on and off, never really got pvp competetive becouse ,well, i didnt care for it enough, but i did have immense amount of resources, currency, crafting goodies, land, well.. basically i was rich as **** ,still am, and i never gave a dime to Trion, tho now, i think they are starting to deserve some of the money they grabbed.

State of servers is "healthy", if you choose your server wisely, EU servers ,in almost every game have lesser player numbers, so skip that right away, NA on other hand was always populated.

The state of game is "fine" .There are still ludicrous hoops of grind you must go through, but hey ,most of them are part of the game, if you use credit card, you save yourself from weeks of grind, if not, you might very well learn to embrace it as if you are persistent enough you can be somewhat competetive.

Archeage is now very stable, hackers, bots, spammers rare, glitches and bugs as well, and its fairly playable.

I did not say competetive, becouse lets not kid ourselves, you will never be in the top 1-3% of the players, becouse you might not spend those 500-1000$ on the gear, but the real question is, do you really need to be?

For most veteran F2p players it is enough to be in the top 10% to feel comfortable for the amount of effort they spent on the game.

If you plan to start on the new fresh start servers, i would very much reccoment you that instead of joining old ones. You will not notice much difference between paying and not paying customers for at least a month, than the second month you will, and by the third month you might catch up to them if you play it smart :)

    Good luck !

Game had its chance and failed, don't come back move along.

While I agree with that statement, ArcheAge itself does offer some redeeming qualities. I'm not a huge fan of the PvP based solely on their P2W design aspects, but if I just take things slow, I rather enjoyed the PvE features.

There was a few game design flaws I had problems with myself.  Looking at this game from the point of a pvp player this is what I faced.  Pirating wasn't worth the time or effort.  Anyone could easily make 10x more money hauling their own packs.  So nothing is really worth stealing unless you are lucky enough to catch a zerg ship trying to turn in packs right next to you.

Auroria was suppose to be the pvp dreamworld.  You don't get any pvp points for killing players in Auroria.  So that is pretty much useless as well.

I was under the impression that it was a pvp game but ended up being a pve game that allowed griefing.  You look at some of the biggest fights or guild wars and ask what in the world did those players accomplish after fighting each other for 1 hour?  If they are lucky they got 1 gold each.

Are you onto something or just on something?

Interesting observation. Just as in real life, acts of war or thievery don't pay off as much (or at all) as doing more peaceful activities.

Maybe not so broken after all. ;)

Yeah, I'd wait for December 10th, too. New servers, new starting zones, new races, etc.

When it came down to it where PvP mattered was certain events. For instance the Leviathan. Have a big scary ship with lots of well armed PvPers on board? You're going to do well. Have a crappy ship with lots of scrubs on board? You're going to get wiped by a red or purple guild and not be able to do the event.

Where this really mattered is that some of these events are ways to make really, really, really good gold. For instance the special packs at the end of the Leviathan. All the tyrant guilds purple up on their other faction members and steal their packs. This is exactly why I'm building a day 1 guild with the purpose of opposing tyrants.

If we bring strong pro-faction PvPers to these events, we can keep the tyrant guilds from turning on our faction by threat of tipping the balance in favor of the people they turn on if they do.

Dynamics like that make PvP interesting to me at least.
