So I was using my phone to look at the guild wars 2 story the new zone has a lot going on when i must have hit the add and it took me to this website www.google-mobile.shieldviruses.com that brought up a warning saying my phone had been infected by 13 viruses from looking at porn and had a countdown timer on it  my phone is two days old just thought you should know one of your adds is taking users to a malicious site.

I had the same experience on my phone.

Ditto on my Samsung Galaxy tablet (yesterday, at least). The forums here have been hijacked/hacked, and mmorpg.com was essentially impossible to view without being constantly redirected to the scam site. I just hope drive-by viruses were not also being injected?

Anyone know what ad did it?  Or what page it was on.

Are you onto something or just on something?

.php?brand=Samsung&model=Galaxy%20Tab%20S%2010.5#b  . This was the redirect that just happened to me. Without even clicking on anything.  It's happened before several weeks ago.  I assume it's sponsored by the site as paid for advertising. This is why I will not turn off any of my ad block software when I visit this site on my PC. As I do not like hijacking adverts. Banner ads fine I can accept but when a site is pushing this kind of crap and pop ups..No way!

I get the same from this website on my Android pad.

You guys should stop looking at porn. ;)

No problems here on my G3 or PC since this thread first opened and I visit this site to an extreme level.

Though I don't click much on the "pictures" or links though.

I've twice today had browser tabs on this forum that I wasn't watching closely auto-forward away from this site.  This wasn't immediately after loading a page, but was at least minutes and possibly hours later.

Crud like this is why I don't whitelist MMORPG.com.

I only visit the site on a windows PC, no issues. Where once PC's were the platform of choice for viruses and all sorts of malware, the ubiquity of mobile phones may mean they take that crown from the PC. :D

I usually get those advertisements when looking up porn. They normally tell me to call a 1-800 number where Indians ask to remotely access my PC.

I'm going to leave this browser open while I do other things and see.  Meanwhile I'll also open up IE.  It does look like its something happening with the ipad's.

Ok I had 2 different browsers opened with 4 instances and nothing happened.  2 of them were on the main page and the other 2 were on the forum page.

This has been a problem for some folks in the past here ( even viruses in the adds on this site themselves) and this is why adblock will remain.

My question is.  If you have adblock and its causing problems.  I do not have adblock and have never had a problem.  Why don't I have problems?  Your theory is adblock is protecting you.  I have nothing protecting me and yet somehow I'm protected and you are vulnerable.  Is that hard to understand?

Why be affraid of something if it never does anything?  I mean shouldn't it at least do something?  Oooh look at all the viruses and yet somehow my bank account is fine all my gaming accounts are fine.  My steam account is fine.  I should have some indication that something is wrong somewhere.  You think I got some ultra ninja virus that has hijacked my computer without me even knowing it.  Yet its not doing anything but hiding.

Anyone that sees this on or after Oct 21 let me know.  For now I have all ad networks disabled for IOS and Android.  Only our house-served ads should get through, and they don't have this garbage...this crap only bleeds in from shady ad networks and the moment we detect a network doing this we shut them off and never use them again.

I haven't had an issue, and I don't want to. I still have some adds, all game related but the outside network ads do not show up.

I had the browser window behind some others for an hour or so, with three tabs open to various pages on the forum.  When I switched back, two pages had been auto-forwarded away to other sites.  I clicked back on both of them, and within a few minutes, they had been forwarded again.  The links to which they are forwarded (broken up so as not to turn into a forum link that someone could follow) are:

    http : // www . reimageplus . com/lp/rgn/index.php

    http : // download . driversupport . com/lp/asy/altlp2

Both had a bunch of junk after them that I've removed for fear that it could be personally identifying.

I'm running Windows 7 on this computer, not Android or iOS.  And this just happened.

I wonder why its not doing it to me.  You sure you don't got a virus or something?  I'm using google chrome and IE.
