Very much looking forward to Legion. All the changes seem to be for the better. I've always focused on professions so its nice to see that they are getting some much needed love. And the fact that there is no cap anymore on the amount of crafted gear at max level is great. I can't really speak too much about the class changes since I haven't messed with too many yet, but all my alts are capped and ready to delve into this new era head on!
Heard it all before, with previous 2 or 3 expansion release's, dust off your accoutn, retuyrn and blah blah blah. for it to be dead in a month or 2 tops.
not saying i wont, i will just wait for the expansion to come right down in price to what i payed for the other expansions and right now i see this is 2x the cost.
Time will also show whether this is just anhother shitty expansion or somethign decent, right now i think its just going to be the same shitty release we have seen for expansions, re-used content once again and nothing new.
I thought there was no need to max out professions prior to Legion? I thought you still would be able to craft and gain profession xp, it would just take a few more materials because it would take a little while longer to get to the cheaper mat recipes. I'm think crafting in Legion prior to 700 will give those +10 skill ups that will make leveling professions go really quick.
So, I'm just concentrating on getting whatever toons I want to 100 and clearing out inventory space, then calling it good. I have one miner/herber that I will be experiencing the new content with, everyone else will be headed straight to Dalaran to start crafting.
This xpac is going to be special. There'should a real buzz around this like I haven't seen since Wrath. Blizzard knows this is their chance to turn around their declining subscriber base. Last time I mentioned Beta I got in trouble.... so I'll just say it's going to be solid and it's exactly what both Blizzard and their players need right now.
Heard all this before WoD.
Heard it all before MoP.
Before Cata.
I give it 4 weeks before people quit again because of "nothing to do...", while some remaining 2-3mio will again sit through 12 month content drought after that.
How is caping TS relevant for the Legion? New tradeskills use ranking system and aprat from some achieve unlock old tradeskils are completely irrelevant.
Have to agree with alot of others here... How many times have we heard this speech before every expansion that comes out is gonna revive the game... Only to have the sub go up temporarily for the first month or two then start to plummet after that.....
Now I have heard others say that supposedly this is the best expansion since Wotlk but I'm taking a wait and see approach. I still say that no matter how good this expansion is that Wow is just getting to long in the tooth to have the glory it had before and the problem isn't getting people to come back cause of course many will rush back to play Legion it's keeping them after the honeymoon phase is over......
I think pretty much everyone is over the 6 month content droughts at least I know I am....
I still need to get a character to 100. Professions will have to wait. I do have a Mage I boosted to 100 with the Legion pre-purchase. I won't play it though since it's all new to me. Feels like a waste to skip all of the content that I have never seen before.
Even if they decide to do 12 months of content drought I will still have plenty to do. I think preparing for Legion is beyond me at this point. I will get to it eventually, but it's going to take a while. Just got my Druid to 72 last night. I'm really enjoying Northrend so far. It has some beautiful zones.
Oddly enough the main reason I won't be returning to WoW is I've found I no longer enjoy old school tab targeting combat. Unless that changes none of the other innovations they make entice me in any way at all.
I don't know why but I've a feeling that is a real possibility in an expansion after Legion. And it would be a welcome one for many players I think.

I'm not going to disagree with you - I've unsubbed during the drought before, and I'll probably do so again. After all, paying for a game that you're not playing doesn't make much sense.

I'm still trying to understand why crafting is needed now. Your gear doesn't matter in pvp and like before the best items were never crafted. I guess it's something new to promote this time. Either way you look at it i hope everyone enjoys the release.

According to one of the Q&A sessions they explained something along the lines of now having the tech which previously didn't exist since they came up internally with the question of how to keep adding new content fast after expansion's release. Supposedly they solved that issue (words of senior content designer not mine) and few weeks after release we should see new stuff being added.
Wont make any conclusions or speculations myself it looks promising but I will reserve my judgment until after I see it happen.
Legion will have more content on release than WoD have today. I'm having a blast on beta servers.
Well a lot of people didn't like the Mop expansion but for me it wasn't that bad for an expansion. I enjoyed it a lot (except the last 12 months without content). I hated the dungeons but the raids were very good. Especially the throne of thunder. I loved the Monk class. I liked it more than the Cataclysm. For me it was a very underrated expansion. Then WoD came. And I HATED it. The only good thing about that expansion was the leveling. So I was very sceptical about getting Legion. Then I played it on the beta. And when I saw what's coming with it, I instantly bought it and I can't wait for the release. I'm not saying buy it right now etc but just don't hate the expansion before you see what's in it. Wait for it to release and see what people think about this expansion then decide if you buy it or not.
They apologized for the time past without any new content on Wod and Mop and they said they failed to bring the expansions faster then before like they promised. So they returned to their old release style with Legion. One of their Q&A stream they explained what went wrong etc. So I'll give them a second chance for it. I hope they won't screw up this time. This expansion coming strong. For me it is the best expansion since Wotlk. Now the only thing I'm concerned about is what they will deliver after the Legion release. Like I said they apologized for the time without content. I hope they won't do the same mistakes again on Legion...

I haven't paid close attention. what are the big changes you are looking forward to? I just can't get excited for this expansion but maybe I will closer to release.

I agree that MoP was better than Cataclysm (and much better than WoD). The main purpose of Cata was to get us to pay for revamps of the vanilla zones. That was pretty sleazy in and of itself imo.

Right, but after not having played for some time, i also think that buying the expansion for about 35Eur and at least one month for 12Eur is a too steep entry to return to this rather old game. Thats almost 50 bucks for 4 weeks of playing.
Blizzard should think about giving discounts to vets that have left at some time. Like if you haven't been subbed for the last 6 month before an expansion releases, you get a free month with the xpack.
I read that some people claimed that they got the addon unlocked on their expired accounts some weeks after release. That's really nice, but seems to be a very rare occasion.
"There’s no sense in burning yourself out chasing these, as they won’t benefit you once Legion hits"Hasnt that with most expansions? I mean fishing does go with all expansion so far but since Cat the game has been totally boring folks left hardy anyone on my server now I often wander if they r going to start shutting some down now Truth is the last 3 hasnt been worth my time or money even tho I tried and for me its isnt worth the money to be disappointed again its time to just move on..

Finishing up 1 or 2 things, then will probably shelve him until the pre-expansion content drops.
I guess I'll work on my new level-boost Mage's professions a bit, maybe try and finish leveling up my 3 level 90-92 characters.
I've got 3 level 100s and the 3 90+ but I just don't think I'm going to have the time or will to do more than one character in Legion.
I guess it depends on how much the profession and class quests change up the experience.
If each class has enough unique content etc. to make it enjoyable, I could definitely see leveling all 6 up to 110 eventually.

1) Check to make sure WoW is still uninstalled from hardrive.
2) Profit.
