At blue level you learn the secret handshake, get a stylish fez, and get invited to Bill Murphy's karoke nights. Purple gets you into the karoke night after party. Omg I've said too much.

Also, I'm always amazed at how many of the same people continuously flock to @Kopogero's threads just to tell him how much they don't care what he has to say.
Lets be honest here, most of us responding are those who lurk the recent posts feed... We flock to everything... a certain mister as well :P...
Oh of course but when it comes to this poster in particular a certain contingent can't seem to just walk away from something they don't really give a shit about and instead bloat the thread count into the stratosphere thereby encouraging the guy to keep making more posts. It seems very counter productive.
On the contrary, I really do care about OP's posts.

Only in you-know-who's thread, every interesting troll flocks and throwing funny comments about their hate and those actually made me laugh on occasion.

    Edit:
With every effort he made, Kopogero actually has established a fan base. Only, you know, he attracted different kind of "fans."

OP hates to have to pay to play games and thinks the site should not get advertising dollars. Are you from some country that has state-run entertainment?

Oh good grief. This seems like such a silly thing to get worked up about. The color of a name and the points mean about as much as the age of an account with regards to the quality of posting, and that is, not a lot.

I like when people click my posts because that means I wrote something registered with them, for like or dislike. It's not about getting a rank. It's about social interaction (something a lot of people on this site apparently hold in high regard). I actually try and write something thoughtful much more often than I do for the lulz or to throw a quick jab. Why waste time with that.

I also click on a lot of posts, a LOT more than I get clicks for. Why? Because I want to let people know when they write something that registers with me. I want to let people know that I took the time to read their posts and I think what they wrote is thoughtful. I want to let them know that what they write is as important to me in the discussion as the prolific OP or the purple poster. I try very hard not to let my opinion of a poster influence whether I tell think I think their post is insightful or awesome or whatever because it's about the discussion and the context that should matter in a thread.

Some people I rarely or never react to. Why? Because I rarely find what they say insightful or whatever. Sometimes I just miss posts, but if you're a ranter and most of your posts are rants, then I'm not likely to click on it. Most of the ranting just doesn't register with me in a way I find thoughtful or productive. Too much negativity.

So that's my thoughts on it. Click on me. Don't click on me. Whatever. :chuffed:  <<<< obligatory favorite emote

Integrity? They list single player games and run ads for league of angels and scarlet blade.

Such a sad little thread in the OP's trademarked, self-centered negative style.

If this sort of thing is really important enough to you that you felt the need to write a few hundred words about it, try participating in other threads in constructive ways instead of just your own tired "I haven't spent any money on games since" ones.

It's a community. Participating in it is what it's all about.

Well, I must admit after this thread and from the big response by this super lovely and friendly community my score did indeed jump up by a freaking 1 point, from 291 to 292...and "LOL" indeed to some purple ranked individuals around here like @DMKano or @Blueturtle13 who claim how the ranking is so meaningless and irrelevant.

Truth is we do this mainly because we enjoy doing it, to be part of these forums and like in every other thing we like doing when there is some additional "ranking" system in place most would care about it, especially if they've achieved high rank that separates them from the rest, but sadly the nature and way of this current ranking system, makes the whole experience more negative than positive.

The best example is the fact that some of these high ranked individuals who claim and lie to themselves how the ranking system is so meaningless and irrelevant to them I bet they wouldn't be able to prove that to the community and actually start with fresh, new accounts that they would be using here for at least few months to actually make a point.

Bottom line, because I find the ranking system in place very inaccurate in rewarding all individuals fairly who actually make a difference and make these forums far more interesting and simply a better place than they already are it's why I've avoided clicking on the bait buttons that it offers just like youtube, facebook and any other $ hungry company in the past.

IMO, it's a negative feature and I dislike it, the way its designed because I don't see it as the future for forum formats just like I don't see many game designs as the future for gaming as well. Regardless, it is what it is and its very nature of ranking is the exact reason why to many its meaningless and indeed not important.

Example, with my facebook I treat all my contacts equally, so I purposely don't use the like button because I like to treat all my contacts equally and if I clicked "like" to some, and not being able to click "like" to everyone else I would have created a preference among my friends, a display that I want something out of them by giving them a special treatment and attention. I would also create addiction or expectation, an image of myself where they would get used to receive those likes, which would only make me look worse if one day those likes stopped showing on their profiles.

You really over think these things, and are far too concerned about the "fairness" of a simple like or agree tag.

But here's a black hat theory I have, it seems the site rewards you (up to a limit) for tagging other posts so since you never do it perhaps that is why your point count is so low?

I can't prove it of course, just something I think I've observed.

No offense, but why would myself or any other high ranked create a new account to prove a theory you yourself have? You claim we are 'lying' to ourselves by saying the rank means nothing to us. Yet we are not the only ones saying this. In fact you are the only one that it seems to matter to. Look through your thread. Nearly everyone is saying they could care less about the ranking. After a period of time most active people will be Epic. The Epics now creating new accounts to show we do not care about ranking would mean nothing and is as pointless as this thread.
I think you are really into forum PvP and this is your game.

@Kopogero, you asked to be pointed out how some of your threads are redundant...

That was all within just a few clicks on your profile page. It gets a bit tiring reading about how you spend your money, or choose not to spend your money. Especially when you are doing a count up and a count down. "up to 5 years without spending money on a non WoW game. NEXT THREAD: Up to 6 years of spending money only on WoW games. NEXT THREAD: In 3 months Legion will be out... Will I spend money on it? NEXT THREAD: Legion is out in 2 and a half months, is this the cycle breaker I spend money on???"

Again, I am not even trying to bash you. You just asked for someone to look it up, I complied. Took less than 10 minutes including pasting and typing here. Easy. Do I get purple status for this or naw?
