Are there any good Sci-Fi mmos? I think I'm sick of mmo's like wow etc. Anything new i can play?

So I know star citizen is gonna be huge. but till then I was looking for something new to play bar the traditional mmos.

Is there any other mmo im not seeing or that is worth playing, must be active mmo with big population!!

    I'm not sure I would consider it "Sci-Fi" but what about Star Wars the Old Republic? There is also EVE.

    well i heard it is a big p2w game that may not even be out in one piece. Either it will be huge, or a huge train wreck.

    Bar the "traditional" mmos so maybe not Eve / SWTOR. Elite Dangerous? Destiny? Wildstar?

    That's going to hold back alot of suggestions.  I think all the big and active ones have been mentioned already -- SWTOR, EVE, Wildstar(I don't this has much population anyway), Defiance(no clue on population).

    There was Firefall too, but I have no idea if that's still alive/populated.  It wasn't doing well last I heard.

    If you don't mind paying and playing Alpha, you could get into something like:
    Project Genom which has ongoing testing.  I have no idea about how populated it is, or how much content it has, personally.  You could check their forum and find out.

    All the other Sci-Fi MMOs I can think of are pretty low population and pretty old.
