COSTA MESA, Calif., June 30, 2005 -- Planetwide Games (http://www.RYL.net) announced today that the RYL: Path of the Emperor $1,000,000 Grand Prize Skill-Based Tournament begins July 1, 2005.  Online video game players will put on their true game faces to compete worldwide in Player vs. Player battles.  The action is anticipated to be fierce, as gamers from the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Finland, Sweden, and India to name a few, will vie for the largest Grand Prize in Video Game History.  RYL: Path of the Emperor - a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) is now challenging gamers to compete head to head awarding one person $1,000,000.  The $1,000,000 Grand Prize will be paid over four years in four installments of $250,000, according to Planetwide Games’ President Kevin Donovan. “Planetwide Games is empowering gamers worldwide to play RYL: Path of the Emperor for FREE by providing an alternative method to traditional monthly subscription fees that they’re accustomed to paying”, stated Donovan.  “Gamers now have the unique opportunity to earn FREE online RYL gameplay by participating in monthly online surveys and also receive their chance to compete to win $1,000,000.”  The RYL: Path of the Emperor $1,000,000 Tournament will begin on July 1, 2005 and end April 30, 2006, culminating in the RYL: Path of the Emperor Grand Finals event to be broadcast live and to take place in conjunction with the E3 Video Game Expo in Los Angeles, CA in May 2006.  Interested players can view more details about the tournament rules and regulations at http://www.RYL.net/Tournament.    Gamers outside the United States and Canada who want to participate in the RYL: Path of the Emperor $1,000,000 Grand Prize Tournament may purchase the game via download from http://www.ryl.net.
