It had what I considered the best combat system for PVP (before Blade and Soul), but unfortunately they didn't capatilze on it. Same 2 domination battlegrounds forever.
Game is also P2W and horribly managed and filled with bugs.
I did spend a whole lot of time doing the PVP- goes to show how far just a good combat system can take you (despite them trying their hardest to ruin it constantly with horrible wild-swinging balance patches).
I voted group content, because when it worked, it was great. Unfortunately, for most of the game's history, dungeons have been either over- or under-tuned, and possible to exploit.
I really didn't care much for it. Just felt like there was nothing to be had but another surface-level MMO "experience" that wasn't interested in letting me be a part of the world, but just another "one-true great all powerful hero" to save the day while I make my way to level cap, and then maybe switch to raids or something afterwards. I don't think they did anything particularly bad, I probably player <20 hours, but I don't remember anything standing out as good at all. Just had nothing new to offer, so I moved along.
I liked nothing about the game. They took a traditional D&D setting and turned it into an arcade game. I personally think they should be lynched.
Edit: I take that back, I did like the custom player quests.
pretty much my feelings. Neverwinter is extremely shallow and boring and ultra linear; the exact opposite of what a Dungeons & Dragons experience epitomizes. Its arcade bullshit made for 10minute game sittings. Just a bad game. Forgettable, throw-away game.

Looking forward to: Crowfall / Lost Ark / Black Desert Mobile

But in pretty much all other ways, DDO is vastly superior and that game is positively archaic.
