Daum EU has released a brand new cinematic trailer narrated by Tay Zonday to get everyone psyched up for the commencement of the second closed beta event that kicks off tomorrow, Thursday, February 18th and runs through Sunday, February 22nd.

wow, that voice was so bad, so out of place.

That was like it was a trailer voiced by a person holding back a cough from a doctor giving them a prostate exam while reading a script in a language they're not fluent in. Horrible!

It wasn't so much his voice but the way he delivered the lines. That was terrible. Also, the writing was a bit sub par as well.

"A mysterious black smoke rose up over the ridge ..."

What ridge? We don't know of any ridge this is the first time we are hearing this tale.

The famous list of Korean MMOs that you and many others are citing is just about how popular games are in those "rent a pc" places, its not about the general population playing the games, and doesnt even count people at home. Also, in that list there are horrible titles like Knight Online in the upper spots (of course, its a super easy game to run on those rented PCs), so it loses any credibility.

The game is gorgeous but it didn't lure me in last beta. I will give it another go and see if it hooks me at all this time.

Ok...that was kind of lame. I am not into MMO for great storytelling, but this is going into a negative numbers. LOL

As a Filmmaker i can say this: That cinematic was just....bad!, from everysingle point of view.

Well, I've played it and it's one of the most enjoyable mmo experiences I've had in a long time. So no waste of time there.

Even though I mostly solo I'm hoping they add more group activities/dungeons.

To that point, I absolutely love Tera's combat. But Tera doesn't have much of a world feeling. Oh sure, there are some rather large open zones but as I progressed they seemed to get smaller and more narrow.

Black Desert seems like it wants to create more of a "world". With the trading, the boats, the "little things" it's a step in the right direction. Now, whether they can actually add and improve on this over time remains to be seen.

ESO is not a sandbox let alone an innovative sandbox.

It's alright will be a time waster for a month or so then fade into oblivion for most once they hit max, there just isn't enough to do.... I mean I can only gvg or pvp for so long....

What about the crafting, farming, housing, horse taming, etc. ?

Is'nt this something people could do even when they hit level cap? I'm really looking forward to these aspects of the game more than the "pew pew".. so I would like to know?

Tay Zonday is not an expensive narrator LOL. He would probably take any money you give him. I mean this is the same guy who did the youtube song "Chocolate Rain"

The thing with personal opinion used as a blanket statement - hehe. It doesnt matter what happened in abother market for an individual player.

As Sovrath said - he is enjoying it, so try  it yourself and decide.

I've enjoyed the hell out of "failed" games - Vanguard and Tabula Rasa come to mind. 

DMKano, please don't bring up Tabula Rasa  Still one of my favorite Sci-fi MMOs and what NCSoft did to Richard Garriott still leaves a sour taste in my mouth.
