I got talked into buying it for the ps4, got finished with the odd ball campaign and finally dove into multiplayer. I don't think I've ever seen such a fall from grace with multiplayer in my life. The entire system of rewards seems to be completely backwards, with killstreaks benefiting players who don't need them, strange class weapons that kill way too fast, and wall running making it nearly impossible to set up a decent kill zone, which is the only way to survive longer than 10 seconds in the game. I'd understand if players were more durable, since then there would be time to actually react and fight. But this is just a random pot luck of hoping you don't respawn into some area with enemies nearby and hoping you run into people in such a way that they don't see you.
What do all these other people see in this game that keeps them playing?

Also IRL guns don't kill instantly unless the guy goes into shock or gets hit in a vital spot. So not sure where that comes from.
I have. Twice. Not sure what point you're getting at.
This isn't a signature, you just think it is.
Basically if you play on console, your weapon selection for multiplayer is going to be limited to Assault Rifles, Sub-machine guns, and Shotguns. It's not because they don't give you the other weapons, but because the way they have modified movement and scaled the maps snipers are at best really bad battle rifles with crap handling, and machine guns are too sluggish to be used effectively compared to ARs, subs, and shotties.
Also, match making leaves a bit to be desired. Randomly jumping into games leads to really lopsided teams and you'll end up losing probably 70% of the time unless you are teaming up with friends. So don't expect much going in as a solo player.
But about 20 hours into Black Ops 1, I was done and I haven't played their multiplayer since. By the time BO1 came around, the game became to gimmicky. It relied way too much on the killstreaks and toys at that point and had moved away from the shooter elements.
Sure MW1 and MW2 had killstreaks, but the way that they were implemented meant that they weren't all that game changing, but a nice little bonus for playing well. Anyone in their right mind knew to shoot down a helicopter if they heard one, or get into cover for an air strike.
Not only that, but map design kept getting worse and worse with each progressive title. The maps in MW1 and MW2 and even WAW were well designed, realistic and tactical. The maps since BO1 have been ridiculous, frantic affairs where the architecture makes little to no sense sometimes. Crash, Overgrown, Showdown, Vacant, Backlot(!!), Highrise, Crossfire(!) and Terminal, oh man Terminal, were some extremely fun maps.
