    Fantasy

I don't care much what the setting is as long as the game is good. I am a sucker for the historical "Age of Sail" -setting though.

I think a musketeer MMO eould be awesome.

Fantasy should BTW be splitted up into high and low fantasy.... Rather  big difference between them.

I like Scifi (more in the cyberpunk range) and Fantasy (high or low works for me) equally.

Voyage Century Online is around that time period (15th to 18th centuries).

Fantasy but NOT high fantasy or horror fantasy, so sick of those... :P
I want to help design and develop a PvE-focused, solo-friendly, sandpark MMO which combines crafting, monster hunting, and story.  So PM me if you are starting one.

It is kinda obvious people prefer fantasy, I don't know why you are shocked.
I think in general SCI-FI lacks Lore and since MMORPGs are extensions of RPGs, Lore is quite important even if on the surface people don't care.

Though I am surprised there are so few SCI-FI MMO around.
I was thinking, Funcom should make Anarchy Online 2, it was a good game with all its flaws.

I dont think sci-fi lacks lore, the problem is that sci-fi games are harder to make and are more complex, because they have to be more realistic than fantasy games.

There are lots of sci-fi non-MMOs though. Many have online features.

How could they lack lore? They have just as much as fantasy games, however much the writers put in.

There aren't as many sci-fi games because A: World of Warcraft, and B: It's a lot easier to make 10 miles of rolling hills than it is to make 2 square blocks of a city.

I could split Fantasy into High and Low, but then I could do the same for other categories. This could be something that we might get into further down the road.

I thought Real Life would be getting more votes. By Real Life I didn't mean exactly like how real life is, but rather modern settings.
