I don't think we'll see any large scale MMOs again, at least not unless there's an unexpected shift in the market.
We're just going to see a continuation of trashy generic MMOs built around cash shops, imported to the west by companies like Trion. They are irrelevant compared to the mainstream AAA titles, but they're enough for companies to get rich for doing pretty much nothing original.
