Closing threads without explanations.

I think it would be a good idea that when closing a thread there is some kind of explanation given to the community.  Maybe even give an agree or disagree poll to alert head moderator if something doesn't look right.  It's disappointing when you go to one of the active threads to leave a comment to find its been closed then you scratch your head wondering what happened.
Are you onto something or just on something?

I second this suggestion.  Even if it is a 'Closing thread' response giving a reason.

Logic, my dear, merely enables one to be wrong with great authority.

We do try to do this, but we could probably do better at it. No need for polls or anything, though. If you disagree with a moderator's actions ,just shoot me a PM and I'll review it for you.

Yea the poll thing might not work correctly.
