How do you join guilds or clans? just a newbie question.

Just ask around, you'll see lots of people in the main cities. Talk to them, most people are quite helpful in AO

The first step would probably be to look at the recruitment threads or make friends in-game and later on, join their corp.
Edit: Some corps have a level requirement though so I doubt you will get accepted in AD2 or The Renaissance.

If u want to join a guild just ask an existing member.

If you're omni-tek, I know an organization that recruits new players (10+), you can have a go. However, I'm bound to say, outstanding organizations' level restrictions are high. It's very good to start with a new organization anyway. Contact a member of that organization and see if any recruiter online in the game.
