Which is just an idea on paper, sure doesn't seem to have any code yet to make it fact.

Have fun watching 20 minutes of "no code yet" from the area around the planet Crusader

Been there done that, where is the code? I see a film made by Roberts. Show me the loading working code please. If that is an alpha and it works why isn't he allowing you guys to play with it?
How do you know no one is playing with it ?

While I can appreciate your argument, there's no proof that there's any actual code. It's entirely possible this is either some elaborate CG rendering, or it could even just be a live action sequence....... ;)
Well, then those guys on stage playing the demo faked it well  ;-)  but yes, its only a matter of time until someone claims this to be only a render sequence.

    Have fun

I'd heard that the graphics were specially upjumped for this demo, and the computers they ran on were also particularly serious.   True/False?

Also, I seem to recall that one demo (I am thinking early, Kickstarterish maybe?) where the claims that it was in-engine turned out to be false.   Any info there?

If you are holding out for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one.

A new Galactic Guide is out, with information on the NEXUS system.

    Wildstar - Star Citizen cross-over FTW ..... NOT ;-)

    https://robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-link/transmission/15131-Galactic-Guide-Nexus

"UDS-2445-3-09, Hathor, the “Crossroads of Crime”; the Nexus System has been called many things during its long history. Nexus is just the latest and most obvious moniker of the bunch. Located at a strategically important junction of jump points, Nexus was a colloquial name for the system first used in the 28th century in reference to its role connecting lawless systems."

    "TRAVEL WARNING

While there have been great strides in restoring law and order to Nexus, anyone entering the system should remember the three S’s of safe travel: Stay in designated lanes, Scan your surroundings, and Shields up! "

" “That’s kinda the thing isn’t it? Run ’round Nexus long enough, and there’s no telling who you’ll meet. Pretty much a who’s who of the worst of the worst. As I like to say, all roads lead to Nexus, and you’ll probably get robbed on all of them.”
Telly “Tubs” Garson, Interviewed on Nexus: Crossroads of Crime, 2925"

46:03 – Loremaker’s Guide to the Galaxy: Elysium

    Transcript:
    http://imperialnews.network/2016/03/around-the-verse-episode-2-25/

"Loremakers Guide to the Galaxy: Elysium

    • Will Weissbaum, Senior Writer, here at CIG guides us through Elysium and its history.
    • Elysium is a five planet system discovered November 15, 2541 by the United Planets of Earth.
    • A new race, the Tevarin were discovered on Elysium IV, or Katleeth as they called it.
    • The Tevarin were spacefaring, but not as advanced as humans.
    • Our first interspecies war arose when the Tevarin attacked.
    • Colonel Ivar Messer became a hero at the Battle of Idris IV by turning the tide of the offensive.
    • After four years the Tevarin were conquered and they retreated to Xi’An and Banu space.
    • Ivar Messer became the first Imperator of the new United Empire of Earth, (UEE).
    • The UEE began terraforming and colonizing their worlds.
    • Corath’Thal, a new Tevarin leader, lead a second war in 2603 to reclaim the Tevarin homeworld.
    • After seven years at the Battle of Centauri they were finally stopped.
    • Refusing to accept defeat they fought their way to the planet, dropped shields and crashed into the planet.
    • This moment was commemorated by the famous painting, “Tears of Fire”.
    • After the Second Tevarin War, the Tevarin were subjugated into the UEE.
    • This brings up to around 2610.
    • There are four Elysium jump points leading to Centauri, Leir, Idris and Vanguard.
    • Vanguard is dangerous Vanduul space.
    • Centauri is home to MISC.
    • Lots of Business traffic flows through the Centauri system.
    • There is a jump point to Leir, home of the Outsiders – it’s a bit odd.
    • Another jump point is to Idris – a system recovering from the Battle of Idris IV.
    • Medium traffic around Elysium, this system is still trying to find its foothold in the empire.
    • Elysium is mostly known for tourism and historical reasons.
    • Elysium’s star is a F-Type Main Sequence Star, it’s 1-to-1.4x the mass of our sun; burns with a whitey-yellow light, hotter and faster than our Sun. It therefore has a shorter lifespan, somewhere around 2-4 billion years.
    • Elysium I, is a migrating gas giant, originating from the outer stretches of the system, it now sits very close to the star. It’s therefore very hot and should be interesting to fly around.
    • Elysium II is a coreless planet – meaning it lacks a magnetic core, not that it’s hollow.
    • Elysium II is dead and lifeless. There is some mining potential but it’s not fully developed. Surface is heavily dented by craters – much to the confusement of scientists, who are investigating.
    • Vosca, or Elysium III, is a desert planet. It was terraformed but remains warm, arid and relatively waterless.
    • Vosca is sparsely inhabited. There is water mining at the poles but most water is shipped in or from harvesting units scattered throughout the planet.
    • Landing zone in Vosca is Rez’s Landing – owned by Rehari Inc. – some sort of moving platform that’s burrowing itself into the planet and finding fewer resources as it goes.
    • Jalan is the next planet. It is homeworld to the Tevarin, who know it as Kaleeth. It is home to many historical artifacts and much Tevarin architecture.
    • It has the most historical significance because lots of Tevarin history was destroyed in the Tevarin Purge – where the Tevarin destroyed anything that tied them to their past, as they associated it with failure.
    • Gemma, the capital of Jalan, has a major temple on a mountain. It’s known as the Rijora temple – after a battle religion of the Tevarin. Lots of preservation work taking place.
    • Landing in Gemma will be strange because landing sites blend in well with the architecture.
    • In Jalan IV, there is a Senate election coming up with three candidates. One of whom, Suj Kossi, the first Tevarin to run for a Senate seat is ex-military and centralist – believing a lot in military in central government.
    • Another candidate is Sakae Marigold, who is a transitionalist wishing to curtail military spending. Lots of unemployment and poverty in the system.
    • Final candidate is Gabrielle Gracián who is another centralist – lots of experience but concerns that nothing will change.
    • Elysium V is a dwarf planet really far out. Nothing to say about it."

Read more about Kayfa, the system which is the religious center of the alien Xi'An  empire.

"Kayfa II’s religious focus means there is no manufacturing or mining, and only essential economic activity. All other necessary products are shipped into the system by the Xi’An government. Some black market activity exists, but perpetrators caught are severely punished. The planet’s solitary, legal export is the Centennial Bloom plant, which is famous for blossoming beautiful bell flowers once every hundred Xi’An years. "

39:51 – Loremaker’s Guide to the Galaxy: Feron System

In depth look at the Feron System.

    http://starcitizen.wikia.com/wiki/Ferron_system

"In 2791 near the end of the Messer Erra, an inhabited moon in the Ferron system played host to a large settlement of ex-patriots hoping to escape the chaos of the crumbling empire. Bomber Squadron 78 was tasked with destroying the settlement suspected of being the hiding place of radicalized rebels. The squadron refused to bomb the settlement, saving the inhabitants, and spent the next 18 months in the stockade until being freed and hailed as heroes by the new government."

    http://imperialnews.network/2016/04/around-the-verse-episode-2-27/

    • "Ferron was discovered in 2460
    • Captain Lamatt was an explorer type looking for new jump points near the Crowshaw system when the jump point was discovered by Darcy Ferron investigating an anomalous fuel reading
    • It was donated to the UNE, who were the governing body at the time.
    • Ferron I is a dwarf planet but very close to the systems sun
    • Ferron II is a mesa class planet with nothing of interest, what little minerals were there have been mined out already.
    • Ferron III/Asura has the city Tram, which used to be a heavy mineral deposit before it collapsed in the mid-29th Century.
    • Some believe that events on Asura were the push to form the UPE and later the UEE.
    • Chicago & Detroit were used as inspiration for Tram.
    • The “Spy” Jenk Gallen recently caught by the Xi’An was from Tram.
    • Ferron IV is a gas giant. It just kinda hangs out, it is what they do."

@ Erillion : While i and i'm sure many others here very much appreciate all the info you're providing, i think it is not worth the abuse, the mud and the mockery you're receiving from a number of individuals here.

    It just isn't.
