Looking for a simple, PvP progression game (specific details inside)

I don't even know if this exists anymore.  I'd like something to supplement my MMORPG time, or perhaps, take it over if the game is good enough.

Here's an example of a game that is EXACTLY what I want, but is no longer available (Silent Death Online):

-3rd Person Combat (can be shooter, can be melee, can be magic--I don't care)
-No PvE, no questing, no killing monsters or droids or BS
-Game is entirely based on multiplayer (20-50 people per game) PvP Missions (i.e. I connect to a lobby and can join a big game)
-For winning or doing well, you gain credits/money/xp that can be used towards upgrading your character/ship/tank/whatever
***Thus, there is a a reward for doing well over time and not just in a single match/mission.
-Can be free to play, pay to play, or one time purchase.
-Can be on Xbox or PC, can be a browser game for all I care

Silent Death was very similar to even older Subspace/Continuum, except S/C offers no character/ship/tank/robot/whatever advancement and I want that so the game doesn't feel too disposable.

I run into a lot of similar games, but inevitably they require running PvE missions or are RTS instead of TPS. I don't need to build colonies and farm space crystals and become some trading magnet. I just want to log in, crush people, and get some advancement in Rank & Gear.
