Unfortunately this kind of game is not very forgiving on new or unschooled players. Try learning how to play MOBA's from day 1 with HoTS and you will get a similar result as the OP.  But...for every impatient elitist, I have also seen helpful players who dont mind stepping up to drop a hint.  Luck of the draw really.

From what I saw in MOBA's all around, that kind of behaviour is commonplace everywhere.

It's also the reason I won't play them, unless I go in with a bunch of mates.

Feel free to use my referral link for SW:TOR if you want to test out the game. You'll get some special unlocks!

You shouldn't be constantly holding lanes in LoL or Dota.  There is a period, what we call a "laning" phase where you primarily stay in lane, but thats usually about 25% of the game at best.  By mid and late game the only time you should be in lane is if you just did a teamfight and won, and should be pushing objectives, or if you're roaming for ganks, etc.

Hots is reasonably fun, but its so casualized its not even funny.  They put extreme emphasis on map objectives vs killing other players.  I've had games where we were 40+ kills vs the other team having 5 or 6, and we were behind on levels and XP because the other team was spending the entire time killing camps, etc.

The *only* reason i play this on occasion over dota is its generally at most a 30 minute time commitment, most games end around the 20-25 mark.  In Dota 2 its usually 45 min or more.

Anyone else tired of the X game community (where X is a online game with a massive fanbase and low barrier to entry) has a crappy community.  If people can not ignore or turn out these people I think people need to find new hobbies that do not include X type of games.  The faceless online community can bring out the worst in people and if you are not in privately formed guilds/teams/leagues then you are going to be forced to deal with these people.  HotS atleast gives you the ability to ignore people once out of the game and you will not be matched with them again.  But face it these people will be there, will always be there, and to let them ruin a game says a lot about you also.

And then you have to wonder why old vets would ever want forced socialization.  It's always been like this when it happens.
