You can now actually get $140 for a $25 SotA Kickstarter pledge!

If you pledged during the SotA Kickstarter campaign and lost interest in the game, you can now actually make a profit, at least from the smaller pledges, for example here:

For weird and complex reasons (it has to do with ability to merge different pledges), people are paying premiums for those small Kickstarter pledges right now.

So, the concept of "futures trading" has come to MMO's ?

That's right folks, the whales are gobbling up the smaller fish to consolidate their advantage in advance. Metagaming taken to a whole new level...

Actually, even though SotA is still in an alpha and gets wiped every couple of months, it is surprisingly playable already. But you are right: it is practically like futures trading with the added benefit that you can actually log into the alpha version of the game now and you can already use (part of) your pledge bundle items and perks there.

Words like pledge bundle, perks and making a profit DON'T BELONG IN MMOS OR ANY OTHER GAME FOR THAT MATTER !

    Dear Mr. delete,

selling a game is not the same as making a profit inside the game. This is no different than buying a game at EB and selling it second hand on eBay after you lost interest in the game. Those "pledges" are effectively pre-sold copies of the game.

Now another game that I have no intention of playing due to the ability to manipulate the structure of the pledge system. Makes me think of another AA snafu once in game. No thanks!!
