As it is now, there's a ground-breaking bug that makes your game become slower and slower as you progress. What causes it? Using the Chanter's Rime and Frost Traps. The explanation is weird, but using it not only makes it stay in the save file (which is recreated on every save / area load), but it also keeps track of every group of enemies, which amounts to save files of over 150MB in some cases (normally it should be about 1MB).
If you've already suffering from this bug, you're probably screwed. Since the amount of data accompanying the traps is "random", cleaning the file is near impossible. Some people have tried, and here's a link to the thread:
