The Star Citizen team has released an awesome new trailer from this past weekend's SXSW event to give fans and players a look at the potential of the persistent world being created for the game and how it is shaping up. It's an early sneak peek at the inter-connectedness of Star Citizen with five minutes of footage. Check it out and let us know what you think!

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Gameplay footage? Interconnectedness of the various game play components and that's not a sneak peek? OK
I've not followed or been enthralled by SC like some but even I'm impressed with this.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Reason you don't see a female model is MANY of these games are using ONLY one model period.Change the hair, face decals ,still same model.
After witnessing the horrible lag from an empty hangar,i doubt there will be many enjoying this game at all.I can't imagine the lag with actual animation and more objects in a screen, would drop down to 1-5 frames /sec.I have a good feel for lag,i would say i was at around 15 frames/sec with an empty hangar,so take it from there.
My system is not amazing but it is plenty ok,i can easily play FFXIV no problems at all.
BTW 90% of that video had nothing to do with building persistent worlds,i saw a ship sitting there, and then a ship and then a ship zoom through space, then again a ship and a ship, looked like more advertising for their ships. The short battle sequence looks more like a rip off from CCP DUST.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

I think that you can expect that you'll have to upgrade your computer if you want to play this game with anything other than low settings. The ability to run FFXIV has very little to do with running SC. I believe that the minimum spec for SC requires like 4 times the amount of RAM and video memory of FFXIV. That's just the run the damn game. It's terribly beastly, but it's got me holding off buying a new PC until it's released. Soooooo, playing SC will probably cost me $1000 or so, lol.,

My 2 cents:
-simply stunning graphics
-trailer just pieced segments from previous video's
-I'm not into to space shooters.Show me cool exploration/conquering of alien worlds.Show me exciting crafting.(ship building...weapon crafting etc).
NET NET....interesting videos but not a world I would want to live in......YET.

There, fixed the last tag line.
SC is the most most impressive vaporware I've seen in a long time. $70+ million and SC is at least two years behind Elite: Dangerous. Graphics in the CG videos don't count since that is all pre-rendered stuff for dog-&-pony shows like GDC. Arena and Hanger modules don't count since those are only basic proofs-of-concepts.
I make spreadsheets at work - I don't want to make them for the games I play.
This video pretty much describes your post. Enjoy!

In War - Victory.
In Peace - Vigilance.
In Death - Sacrifice.
Now, now, in all fairness, he could have one of those computers like they do in Minority Report, except for games! Although even that system was found to be faulty, so I don't really know what to say.

There's a few of them mixed in.. They're just hard to tell apart since unlike most other MMOs they don't have massive breasts that are hanging out of their suits (which they probably want to have, but I'm pretty sure space suits can't have exposed areas).
They've already done quite a bit of motion capture for the female models. But since they very very recently decided to change their skeletal/muscular animation system, Females are probably bumped back again.
Many of the fans were unsatisfied with the animations in-game, so they are doing what they do best, listening to their fans.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move. - Douglas Adams
Good to hear. I never was worried they would NOT be included, just thought it strange they weren't to be seen...easily, it seems....in this video.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
they´re not finished, seems to be a lot of work. They´re definitely coming, no worries here.
I don't think you really understand what the term vaporware really means but just keep tossing it around because something about this game angers you deeply but I'm not sure what it is.
The budget is about right for a game of this scope, probably needs another 30mil though honestly.
Game probably needs about a 4 years development cycle to finish.
But okay angry guy its VAPORWARE!
now, now. SC has all the stuff already working in engine where other inferior space titles have nothing but empty words, a few broken promises and some obviously fake CGI graphics to show, so please: Stick with facts, unless your intention is solely advertising and spreading false information a.k.a. trolling.
and waiting two years+ for a triple A MMO, what a shame! All the other blockbuster MMOs of recent years were finished in less than two years, oh wait. Nope, not true either.
I have taken a wait and see approach to this game. But I must say if they can pull it off.. my oh my what fun it will be.
That video has me interested and put it high up on my anticipation list again.
That is music composed specifically in house for Star Citizen. Music in this game will be something to look forward to.
The comparison between the quality of Star Citizen and Elite: Dangerous is like comparing Everquest to Final Fantasy XIV ARR...
They have nothing in common except the sim part. The planets in Elite:Dangerous are randomly generated... In Star Citizen that is not the case, much of the art and design for the planets is designed by the team.
And just to give a clue to those who havent had a chance to access Star Citizen and only see the trolls like this guy, The in game graphics are about as close as one can get to the rendered videos because its being built in parts... no females? check out some of the mocap videos and youll see female actresses so yes there will be female PC's.
And to confirm what was said in a previous post, the requirements to play Star Citizen on anything higher than low settings will require a full rebuild... even with the dual 7950s i currently have I wouldnt be using anything under dual r9 290x's. probably 16 gb minimum memory for lowballing but would recommend higher.
Basically if you are satisfied with lowball graphics and randomly generated content that has little actual improvements over the graphics and development styles of the last 10 years Elite:Dangerous meets the status Quot... However if you are looking for the next level in game design with some of the best combat features to show up in gaming in the last 10 years with graphics and a team that is known to deliver.... then Star Citizen is the game you should be watching.
