Anything with meaningful endgame content?

Hey all, just trying to find a game that does not consist of: Get to endgame, Raid until you're geared, wait for next patch/expansion, raid the new raid, rinse, repeat.

In my personal opinion what most of todays games lack is a meaningful endgame.  Once you get your full set of raid gear from the new hotness, then you can.....do it with another character?  It just seems so lame.

I really wish there was a game where getting to endgame and getting geared up actually allowed you to do something else, rather than just repeating the cycle.

I also realize this is much easier said than done, just my hoping, and also asking if there's something that maybe exists like that that I've overlooked.
