My favorite memory playing Everquest 2 was signing in for the first time and hearing the old everquest 1 login music that had been redone for everquest 2. I had so many fond memories playing Everquest 2 and i still love to get into Norrath and slay some monsters!

Proudest moment in any MMO Ive played was my finaally earning my Cloak of the Harvester on my way too low level (level locked while in a Progression Guild)  Ratonga Warden, Asiago. Soo much harvesting. Soo much searching for nodes. Soo many death. Soo much softy whimpering to myself while curled into a ball and soo many premature grey whiskers.

But nothing has since or before beaten the feeling of accomplishment I had wearing that cloak around -well that and finding a half-eaten cheese sandwich just lying there on the Freeport docks that one time (seriously, who only eats only half of a cheese sandwich??)

    :)

We need to start thinking of MMO's as we do music or literature or the movies. There is not one MMO or one game that will be universally satisfactory to everyone's taste. MMO's don't come in one genre just as books or music doesn't come in one genre. Change and innovation is a good thing in the MMO industry just as it is in literature and music, but every MMO doesn't need to push the envelope or be cutting edge to be "good" or fun. It just needs to be good. The same is true for music. The same is true for books or for movies. Music evolves. MMO's evolve. Storytelling evolves. And in doing so, it doesn't make obsolete or not enjoyable everything that's been done before.

i think my favorite eq2 experience is either clearing DT for the 1st time and getting my claymore done which at that time was a major thing just the full experience of the KoS expac was amazing. but it seems i was always on edge and excited to clear deathtoll. I think i almost fell out of my computer chair tanking tarinax the 1st time i killed it  was chaos with a bunch of adds everywhere we carely got it down.

another great experience i had was during EoF the 1st avatars i remember having my account full of lvl 1 alts sitting at camp spots. i think my favorite one had to be growth while playing on my pally with amends on a warlock and my dps i would die 8 times but only be behind warlock and wizzy on parse was crazy fun.

in all fairness its hard to really list a favorite experience to me eq2 has been a great experience ever since i started back in dec 2004 ive met many friends and had a great time. i just hope the good times and memories can continue with AoM.

My favorite, but not typical, EQ2 moment was researching the books and hieroglyphs found in Castle Mistmoore and a couple other dungeons, trying to find a connection/correlation with all of them. While I never did find a final answer, it was the exploration that made it a special memory.

I haven't played EQ II but I've been disenchanted with all the newer MMOs I was looking at going back to EQ or trying EQ II.  Winning this would make that decision easy!

Did the Halloween event with my Paladin, and the last boss you fight in the cellar had my awestruck of how they did it. Reminds me of Dark Link.

Honesty my favourite thing is that this game continues to exist and is still 100 times better than the majority of mmos both old and new.  The first time i stepped into the world after the utter destruction of the world i knew so well in the original game, it was incredible.  Everything looked gorgeous in a devastating kind of way, watching the world grow again from the ashes was truely breath taking.
