you say that as if Archeage is NOT a themepark. Archeage IS completely a themepark with some open PVP and housing.

its like ordering a pizza and getting a pizza box filled with crap and a small slice of pizza sitting in one corner of the box. I mean this game has everything any themepark has.

as to your PS, lol thats fine just keep your eyes closed and your fingers in your ears say "LALALALALALA i can't hear you".

The sandbox aspects of AA revolve around PVP which is engineered to be all about who spent the most/exploited the most.  There's very little skill involved, it's just about getting stuns in and having more damage/defense than the other guy, which you're most likely to get by paying money.

It's seriously just a dick-wagging contest as to who spent the most.

So lets all create the same damn thread over and over and over all saying the same damn thing. Ohh and lets just ignore the fact that the overwhelming majority of the complaints have NOTHING to do the with the game but rather management of it. You'd think that EVENTUALLY there will be a thread actually talking about game features. Instead it is basically the same damn thread over and over.

Underneath all this drama is actually an amazing game with endless potential. All the issues you all are complaining about are short term issues that will get fixed. Talking like the game has already failed is ridiculous and too many of you are stating opinions as fact.

Its almost like its an obsession of the community to exaggerate EVERY AA issue and make sure EVERY issue is a headline to the world. At the same time there are plenty of players enjoying the game completely ignorant to the issues of the vocal minority. Some times I ask myself that if I never looked at the forums, how many of these issues would I ever even notice?

DMKano - Keep fighting the good fight, I greatly respect your defense of the game and can understand how it can feel like you are the only one open to defending the game while not taking EVERY opportunity to bash it.

To the rest of you, if you leave AA and can find fulfillment in themeparks more power to you, enjoy your Wow. Some of us came to AA for something different and for that same reason, I will not be leaving. When I hear, "I quit AA and went back to WoW, tells me you weren't here for something different but just wanted to play another FOTM, you will not be missed.

In the end, AA will be fixed, I will still be playing my sandbox game. and you all will have spent considerably more time and money hopping MMO's every other month.

PS - I will not be responding to any comments about "AA isn't a sandbox" crap. So don't waste your type typing it.

    White Knight Alert .

Firstly this game is very PVP based .  But also very gear based which RPG game usually are .

I wont lie you need a good pvp build and skills too obviously , But if you have watched the best players in Korea AA they have one thing in common  .

    1.  They paid a lot of money

So why would you want to play a game that costs ALOT of money to compete when you can just play WOW which has PvP

    and only costs $15 a month .

I dunno about you but Im not going to spend $2k + on a game to compete then find out someone spend $10k I lose to them I must pay more ... fuck that shit .

    Two words, "Instant gratification"

Here is an idea, go play the game how it was designed, earn your gear, take your time, then you can be "competitive". Just because others are taking the "easy" route, doesn't mean you have to. The end result is the same but one is goal oriented and will give you a sense of accomplishment and the other Epeen with short term commitment. If you cannot get over what other players have and how fast they got it, that is a problem of your own and your own compulsive desires.

A lot of those same players who are buying their success will end up running out of goals and leaving anyway thus leaving those of us who are earning our items with plenty of goals and long term achievements.

Well said .........the fact that 90% of the folks that play the game have no need or interest in spending a single cent on labour potions just goes up in smoke with the forum warriors ...too bad what's such a huge issue to the forum  hater's is something almost never worried about by someone playing the game .

We can't really take someone's opinion seriously when they have Archeage as their account picture.

All you are saying is that the p2w aspect of this game is OK because eventually the whales will get bored and leave. But they will have all the land, castles, gear, etc., months ahead of anyone who plays this game without spending money.

You are either a shill for Trion or are incredibly naive. None of the negatives are exaggerated. The game is full of exploits, cheats and hacks, and denying any of this is just pure fanboyism and quite pathetic.

There should be many threads trashing this game, because there has never been a game, with this much hype that turned into such a travesty and embarrassment. The majority of people who have played this game have left and are clearly vocalizing their negative opinions of it. Look at Trion's own forums.

Here's an idea, play this game the way it was designed. #1 Spend as much money as possible. #2 Use as many exploits as you possibly can. #3 Ignore all evidence that the game is p2w.

    Not even close my friend.

If you would have took two seconds to look at my post history, you would see I have been discussing and playing Archeage for nearly two years now. My experience and defense of the game came way before Trion was involved.

My point is behind all this negative press is actually a stand out game IMHO. I am a fan of the game itself, not Trion, not XL. If you can remove sub model and cash shop and exploits for just a moment, is what I am here to defend. IE the game itself.

Someone has to at least try and remind people that behind all the exploits, hacks, and Trion failures is a great game with potential that I still have faith in. The outrage is justified, but reminding people that there is a game with potential behind it all is as well.

It doesn't work this way. The progression never ends so no one can "take their time" and eventually catch up. They will never catch up. That is unless the ones who "Take the easy route" stop their progression while they wait for everyone else to catch up. But that's not going to happen.

DM Kana and Steel you guys just enjoy your game and dont let any of this stop you from enjoying your game. ArcheAge is a great game that being ran by a horrible company. Reminds me of my Lineage 2 days when people bashed the game for people botting and cheating. I always said Lineage 2 was a great game that was being ran by a horrible company and I was not about to let that stop me from enjoying the game. I really hope Trion gets there act together and dont run the game into the ground.

Oh I agree the game itself is pretty good . It is the future MMO I wish game would take .

    1.  Building your own home / farm etc

    2. Player driven economy

    3. World PVP

    4. Sea battles

The list goes on and on how awesome this game is .

Then some loser company decides to ruin the core game and make it pay2 win ..   gg .

yeah this game I would stay away from , the game is fun and had promise but the systems designed to scam you out of your money are shocking.

Its a F2P game, of course it is. Why are you acting surprised.

if you have ever played this game as free to play you will realise that it is broken

due to no offline labor regen.

So say I mine some ore , I use up my labor and can no longer mine ore . Since I only really

want to mine ore because I like mining ore  I can't so I log out . Come back a day later

still can't mine ore. Rage Quit.

Even a paying customer the regen is 1440 labor a day

I spend 400 every 5hrs on my 4 sheep pens on my 16x16 farm

( I have 2 other farms which I have to rent out to players )

1600 labor a day . collecting from sheep pens

Yeah so basically unplayable unless I spend more money than my $15 a month sub.

Not sure I'd say it's broken because of that. But yeah, I realized after the first week of playing as non-patron that I basically had to buy patron if I wanted to do anything in the game. No exaggeration, as a free player, I didn't even have enough LP to open the coin-purses that I was getting. Forget about crafting or gathering.

The concept is great and you WANT to LOVE the hell out of all that it should offer or can be...or something...theres just something fundamentally refreshing about what it is in the MMO world.

But yes...be a patron(subscriber) or don't play the game at all.  You'll have to play 10x longer than anyone else in the game to get anywhere...and its really not exaggerating.  Glad I stayed away.

Picked up ESO, of all games...  Enjoying the living sh_t out of this game.  They made SO many improvements and fixes.  Game is good.  Great build diversity.
