Greetings,

With today's maintenance we are applying the "Earth School" patch.

The patch contains the following:


Earth School

Embracing the strength of earth and stone, an Elementalist can protect himself with the indomitability of a mountain or shower his enemies in the acidic poisons of the deepest bowels of the world!

Attunement to Earth:

Take on the impenetrable aspect of heavy metal and hard rock! You will gain a stack of immunities with each stack rendering you completely immune to a single source of damage.

Tectonic Shift:

You reach into the bowels of Agon and quickly tear up a wall of earth to stop your enemies in their tracks. You must be targeting physical terrain or objects.

Caustic Bolt:

Propel a globule of the purest acid towards your foe.
Each subsequent time the bolt strikes it will also render the target weaker to acid, thus causing more damage as well as renewing the previous debuff.

Acid Rock:

Break on through to the other side..of the prime Earthen material plane! Proceed to summon forth a boulder of pure, crystallized, acid and slam it down onto a foe for some pain with a side of face-meltage! Adding insult to injury, your hapless enemy will be rendered unable to parry for a small duration.

Heart of Stone (Ultimate):

Put yourself between a rock and a hard place! Encase yourself within a boulder to gain increased regenerations and a massive immunity to all sources of damage except impact. However, any impact damage that you receive will also rebound and pulse outwards around you.


Video options
 

  • Added “Texture Quality” option (This will improve memory usage and will solve a lot of “out of memory” and fps issues)
  • Added Depth of Field option

General Changes

Movement responsiveness:
  • Reduced player "mass" to almost 0. This will make the player accelerate faster, which is notable when changing directions.
  • Increased player sprint/run animation speeds, to give a faster ‘feel’ to gameplay, as well as being more in sync with the actual player movement speed, and remove the “sliding on terrain effect”.
  • Improved animation blending speeds, to be quicker than before and give a faster visual output, so it is more in sync with the player’s movement keyboard input.

WIth the above changes we expect the feel of speed and twitch to improve dramatically for combat as well as ordinary daily activities.


Custom Roles update: Booster changes

Boosters:

Boosters no longer affect the damage/healing magnitude of skills. Boosters still increase the base attribute, however that boosted part will no longer have an effect on skills. Your skills now will perform at their max capacity regardless of booster. (Skills are still affected by base attribute).


We believe this change will be fundamental to fully flesh out the Custom Roles feature the way we had imagined it. That is to move away from the class system and promote as many different and viable skill combinations as possible.
  • The bonus lost in damage/healing from boosters, has been transferred to the base attribute.
  • Slight reduction in the overall magnitude/healing of skills.
  • Front-loaded the attributes’ bonus effect, so that new players see an earlier gain in skill effectiveness when raising their base attribute compared to before. This change was to counterbalance for the booster change.
Regeneration:
  • Stamina cost for sprint has been rebalanced so that the player regenerates stamina while sprinting. (You will regenerate stamina even faster if you simple-run instead of sprint).
  • Stamina and (to a lesser extent) Mana regeneration now stay unaffected by how empty or full your stat pools are.
  • Stamina/mana regeneration increased overall.
With this change we expect players to run out of stats much slower than before. Also in conjunction with the Booster change we expect Time-To-Kill to increase and give players more chances to recover from a losing situation.

Jump Delay:
  • Jump delay removed after landing.
  • Sprint delay removed after landing.
  • You will now receive damage when landing on a flat terrain surface with increased speed. This was made to prevent endless jumping at “dash” speeds.
This change will provide a more skillful, risk-reward mechanism for gaining distance.
  • Falling damage min threshold slightly increased. This means you need to fall from a higher altitude compared to before, in order to take damage.
Spellcasting:

Global cooldown between casting spells, reduced by 40%. To make spellcasting gameplay more fun and fluid at the same time.

Theyril gear:
  • Theyril gear overall potency bufffed.
  • Theyril gear now requires 140 in a stat.
Skirmisher armor attack speed attribute has been reduced by 2% at Intricate level.


Content Tweaks
  • Timers for sea-fortresses have been drastically reduced, in order to promote more frequent fights. Loot adjusted by the same ratio. Globules of greed added to the Sea-Fortress loot-tables. Chance for ship-figurines to drop has been increased.
  • Timers for villages have been drastically reduced, in order to promote more frequent fights. Loot and globule cost adjusted.
  • Added Globules of Greed, to Dragon and Demon loot tables.
  • Added conversion materials to low rank safe-zone monsters.
Skill Changes

Movement/CC skills:

Most movement and CC abilities have been toned down, in order to give more emphasis on player positioning.

Stampede:
  • 25% less duration
  • 25% longer cooldown
  • 24% less speed
Evade:
  • 33% longer cooldown
Dash:
  • 19% longer cooldown
  • 60% faster speed. Note that you will take damage if you jump at dash speeds.
Pulverize:
  • 60% less knockback
Repel:
  • 50% less knockback
  • 10% longer CD
Tornado:
  • 26% longer CD
  • 52% less knockback.
Barrage:
  • Knockback immunity duration reduced by 11%
Foebringer:
  • 9% faster cooldown
  • 25% less mana cost
  • 17% less stamina cost
Other skill changes:

Life School:

Spirit Bond:
  • 20% less healing
Resuscitation:
  • 18% faster casting time
Chaos School:

Bolt of Bedlam:
  • Reduced knockback by 1 tier.
Soul Flay:
  • 40% faster cast time
Pall of Pandemonium:
  • 13% more damage
Air School:

Lightning Bolt:
  • 3% more damage
Water School:

Bitterstep:
  • 20% more damage
  • 29% faster cast time.
  • 18% shorter cooldown.
  • 11% less debuff duration.
Frostbite:
  • Damage increased by 29%
  • 1 second more in Slow ranged attack speed and in Slow casting speed
Fire School:

Fireball:
  • 25% faster cooldown
  • 13% more damage
Heat Stroke:
  • Fire damage increased by 11%
Magma Bomb:
  • 2% more damage
Deadeye School:

Trueshot:
  • Base cooldown increased to 8 seconds (up from 3).
Duelist School:

Flurry:
  • 23% stronger debuffs.
Lunge:
  • 11% faster cooldown
  • 20% less mana cost
  • 33% less stamina cost
Digging skill changes:
  • Fixed an issue with digging on terrain producing effectively infinite resources
  • Limited number of resources available when digging in a single tile to 50
  • Increased terrain resource regeneration rate timer
Note:
Regeneration is continuous, so it is possible to extract more than 50 resources in a single session, but at some point you will need to wait for the "per-item" regeneration time to pass (~4:50) before consecutive digging operations will successfully produce resources.


General Fixes
  • Fixed a bug where Mirdain characters would not be able to skin the Engorged Mammoth Carcass
  • Fixed a bug where in some cases a Guard tower would not attack according to its tower policy after being built
  • Fixed a bug where killing a Menhir while it had a dot on it would not always reward the player with a kill
  • Fixed a bug where non-transferable shop items could be traded inside a bag
  • Fixed a bug where a player could get stuck on top of any bindstone
  • Fixed a bug where the siege ladder could be repaired by using healing spells on it
  • Fixed a bug where dying from fall damage at the shores of an acid pool would cause the character to not receive acid damage after reviving
  • Fixed a bug where the “Emberfest Sabremount” could be spawned in invalid locations
  • Cannot use dash when battlespikes equipped while the skill is not grayed out
  • Fixed a typo in the “Not enough Selentine” dialog box
  • Pressing “Interact” button (Default: F) on a lootable prop (Gravestone,Strongbox, etc) while casting (and not immediately after) will not toggle you to GUI mode
  • Removed Target Opacity option from the Game Options
  • Fixed a collision issue with Mahirim Cannon Emplacements
  • Fixed a bug where friend summoning was canceled when a buff that modified the health attribute expired

  • Fixed a bug where lava and acid lakes didn’t have the appropriate underwater textures.
  • Fixed the Centaur spawn in Somerstone where they would occasionally spawn on trees
  • Fixed the Arctic Bear spawn in Nordakyst where they would occasionally spawn in areas that would not be able to reach any players on top.
  • Fixed the Grungroc spawn in Anyth where they would not attack a player standing in a specific area
New Shop Items
  • Three Premium masks added
  • Five premium dyes (only obtainable from the shop)

    I agree. I jumped in on the free weekend and was very impressed with what I saw and played. I believe I am going to be back to play......
