Elder Scrolls Online subscriber loyalty program announced

Pay for three months and get a free pet.

----

ZeniMax Online Studios has revealed a loyalty program which will gift players a free in-game pet if you buy at least three months' worth of game time.

The next reward - yet to be detailed - will unlock if you pay for at least six months of game time.

These time amounts do not count the month of gameplay you get when you purchase the core game - you have to stay subscribed beyond that time to start earning your rewards.

"Since launch, we've loved sharing the adventure of ESO with you as you explore ever-growing Tamriel," ZeniMax wrote.

"There's so much more on the horizon, but we think it's important to give some special recognition to those of you who have already been there every step of the way."

    A pet?

/shrug ... at least it  suggests theyre dedicated to P2P despite the recent layoffs.

Most games that go F2P also have a subscriber option and monthly bonuses for said premium players.

Due to frequent travel in my youth, English isn't something I consider my primary language (and thus I obtained quirky ways of writing).  German and French were always easier for me despite my family being U.S. citizens for over a century.  Spanish I learned as a requirement in school, Japanese and Korean I acquired for my youthful desire of anime and gaming (and also work now).  I only debate in English to help me work with it (and limit things).  In addition, I'm not smart enough to remain fluent in everything and typically need exposure to get in the groove of things again if I haven't heard it in a while.  If you understand Mandarin, I know a little, but it has actually been a challenge and could use some help.

Also, I thoroughly enjoy debates and have accounts on over a dozen sites for this.  If you wish to engage in such, please put effort in a post and provide sources -- I will then do the same with what I already wrote (if I didn't) as well as with my responses to your own.  Expanding my information on a subject makes my stance either change or strengthen the next time I speak of it or write a thesis.  Allow me to thank you sincerely for your time.

With the premium on inventory slots and the fact that vanity pets don't stealth with you, giving your position away in Cyrodiil -- something some people still don't seem to know 6 months after release -- I'd much rather get rewarded with a rare dye, horse speed boost, bank slots... anything other than yet another vanity pet.

I think they went with the vanity pet because of all the forum whining that started when Steam customers got something no one else had. Somehow that gave the devs the idea that vanity pets matter.

I totally agree. I actually find them annoying and I primarily PVE lol. All they do is take up space. I'd rather get what you suggested.
