so it clearly says that the sales for wildstar are 28,048. so i broke the math down to see how may possiable subs. now this is only an estimate cause some may have bought the bigger pack, but lets say everyone spent 60$ for the game.

    28,000,000 / 60 = 466666.6666

so the math seems to show give or take around 500k  play wildstar.

You can't use math like this when they have a system in place called C.R.E.D. that allows you to purchase game time with in game gold. If anything it would possibly be more.

So to be just as speculatory as the OP, lets say NCSoft gets $35 of the $60, that would mean almost 1 million copies sold.

$35 is actually still a little bit high.  Usually the publisher gets about 30 to 40% of the total sale price of the box sale.  So at $60, they are getting anywhere between $18 to $24 a sale.  Which is why you could sell the game on websites like G2A or GMG for $45.  With an digital sale, you remove most of the distribution chain.  NCSoft and Carbine still get their normal $18 to $24 per sale.

At $24 to NCSoft per sale, Wildstar probably sold about 1.1 to 1.2 million copies in the first month.  The normal retention rate for a new MMO is around 25 to 30% after 3 months or so.  So Wildstar current user base is probably around 286k to 360k.  It could be higher or lower depending on actual sales and retention rate.  This is just a safe estimate based on normal MMO trends and sales.

So based on the OP link Lineage is #1 and GW2 is #2 money makers at NCSoft. Although i think its still two early to predict Wildstar´s future, it doesnt look very bright. Too bad because the game is very pretty.... if only the game played as good as it looks. There is still hope if they plan a full expansion with massive feature upgrades.
