With some interesting archival work, the user Suicidal Lemming has taken it upon himself to collate all the Vendetta Online News Updates beginning with April 4, 2002. For users like myself, it's an interesting trip down memory lane (I started June 2, 2003). Lemming states he isn't planning to keep this list updated, so it presently ends with the May 31, 2014 update (there have been a handful since then that aren't on this list). It gives a nice cross-section of Vendetta Online's more important developmental updates over that twelve year period that can't be directly found on the main website.
The following are some of my favorites:
November 1, 2003: Changes can be found in sectors 5, 7, 9, 14, 15 and 18. All the added stations use the new "modular component" architecture. Advertising for various in-game shops and companies has been added, using a new language designed for the game
June 24, 2004: Version 3.5.0 marks the launch of the new universe.
November 1, 2004: The game is now online as a pay-to-play product [...] The pricing model is as follows:
1 month for 9.99
3 months for 26.99
6 months for 48.99
12 months for 89.99
24 months for 159.99
January 23, 2010: A new station located in Latos I-8 may now be conquered by players.
March 7, 2011: Vendetta Online has been released in the Android Market!
June 5, 2011: Congratulations to the guild [ORE] on the construction of the first player-owned Trident Type M - Light Frigate!
April 17, 2013: We're proud to announce that iOS has joined the family of platforms supported by Vendetta Online, launching today for the iPad2 or newer (including the Mini!)
July 24, 2013: As you may see from our recent press release, we're officially launching support for the Oculus Rift family of head-mounted virtual-reality displays.
