Back to playing SWtOR - any tips I should know about lvl50->

Well a year and a half ago, I uninstalled SWtOR after I completed my characters story line, now it looks like it continues with the raise level cap to 55.

I did subscribe for at least 1 month to give it a go once again. Is there any tips I should know when coming back to this game?

I see there are a few new companions one can achieve through questing (HK-81 and Treek) if I am not mistaken and their Space combat has gotten a bit upgrade as well.

To sum it up, to level to cap, should I progress through PvP or PvE (i know its preference) but would like to hear how you would approach the game.

I am strictly PvE player. So here's what my approach was.

    1. Go through whole Makeb story.

    2. At level 52 I believe you can get initial quests for Seeker and Binocular quests lines. Some quests are interesting and there are daily hubs for these.

    3. Get HK-51. Some quests, like f.e. theoretica are pretty interesting.

    4. After reaching level 55 - do Oricon quests. The rewards for quests will fully equip you with nice level 66 purple gear.

That's solo part.... sort of. You can solo final quest for HK-51, though it's easier with friend. Same for Oricon.

Then there are FPs, tactical FPs, Czerka dailies, Oricon dailies, Makeb dailies, Belsavis dailies, operations, which now scale your equipment to acceptable level making it easier for beginners or these not geared to get into.

Up to you. You can level to 50 doing GSF if that's your preference.

Makeb story is pretty good though on both side, though I prefer Empire of course,

Thanks for the guidance, I too run for the Empire, nice choice. Anyways dropping back into this game there is like hundreds of things to do and when I parked my character @ 50, I didn't even know where to start.

GSF seems very interesting, but going to read up more about it before I step into the hornets nest.

When it comes to companions, some say Treek is amazing, but they wouldn't spend the money on him.. Is this pretty much true? I been combing the main forums and so many mix emotions on that character.

Yeah Treek rocks especially for DPS toons. She can tank and heal. She's pretty annoying though.
