updating my PC

OverkillOverkill Member UncommonPosts: 29

My PC is a few years old and isnt at the recommended specs they are showing on the website for the founders. I understand this is just an educated guess on their part but I would like to be a part of the founders and have my system able to run so I wanted to update my system a bit. With that in mind I have to be a bit frugal with my purchases buying them over time. I am no expert at all and was wondering if the fine people here could give me some suggestions about what would be some good / not too expensive options to get at or above the recommended spec. I have a good video card I got last year but my motherboard, processor and unfortunately memory ( I have DDR2 ) are all old.

  • CPU: INTEL Core i5-750 / AMD Phenom II X6 1045T
  • GPU: NVidia GTX 660+ or similar video card
  • Memory: 8 GB DDR3

Thank you for any help.

Post this in the hardware section.

List your budget / money you want to spend.

Thats a good start. I can list out hardware, but with no idea what your budget is a shot in the dark is all you will get. Which is no help.

And what hardware you plan on keeping. Not ~ a gpu~ but the specific hardware.
