Do you think this game will go F2P this year or should I buy it now because it doesn't look like it will EVER be F2P?

Buy now cuz we all know it's not going F2P. Be realistic dude. Remember when people said the same about WoW in 2005-2006? I do. And now here we are.

I bought it, played it, unsubbed. You can get it for cheap these days. So its not a big investment.

Its not a bad game. Just didnt hold my interest when I hit VR2. I did get my moneys worth out of it!
I think there is a chance this game will "relaunch" B2P to coincide with the console release. I'm not sure I would put money on it but it might happen. I have to think they are at least muling ideas like this over at this point.
F2P this year. I would say with a console release coming in the fall not a chance.
I agree that F2P this year is almost no chance but B2P with a store has a chance of happening. Either way, if your looking to play the game completely f2p then not this year.
Sandbox means open world, non-linear gaming PERIOD!
Subscription Gaming, especially MMO gaming is a Cash grab bigger then the most P2W cash shop!

Well, but wow was adding new subs every month by then. ESO is already dying.
MMOs finally replaced social interaction, forced grouping and standing in a line while talking to eachother.
Now we have forced soloing, forced questing and everyone is the hero, without ever having to talk to anyone else. The evolution of multiplayer is here! We won,... right?

Is that just your opinion? Or did you have some kind of hard data? Just wondering how you know it's "dying". I'm assuming it's mostly based on the fact that you don't like it or playing. I mean... if you don't like it... who could right?
This game will be free to play by the end of 2015, but I don't know if you want to wait that long.
Hmmm, lets see. How popular was the notion of F2P in 2005-2006, oh that's right, NOT AT ALL.
I think its not fair to say that about ESO. WoW is the only sub based mmo that hasnt become f2p due to its success (Wildstar is too new to tell). I would say that ESO will go f2p if Zenimax doesnt get their things straight. I bought the game and i dont regret it but to me its still not worth a sub.
Only 2 things can happen: 1) Zeni fixes the game and it succeeds with a sub, or 2) they stop caring about it and it goes f2p.

Surely he has no numbers to show but with all the criticism this game had to face - especially the bugs and instancing problems..
That left a bad first impression on many people and they left.
WoW was gaining more subscribers instead of losing them (back then at least)
So you comparing ESO to WoW is >unrealistic< to say at least.
Still seems not popular now.
Example, FF XIV ARR. Going to be out a year soon. Still no signs of F2P.

I wish it would go F2P but, no. It wont. The game is not dying. The game is not failing. The top 3 mmo's people talk about non stop are: FF XIV ARR, Wildstar, and ESO. With all this attention, none of these will go F2P ever. You can keep wishing all you want. It's not going to happen.
So many great games were supposed to go F2P in the past couple years, that users here stated it would be F2P in a year. Well.....there still P2P.

WoW is not the only sub based MMO to be successful, far from it, FFXIV;ARR, Eve Online, FF XI even. not to mention Wildstar, DF;UW and of course ESO, but there are more, whether ESO will go F2P or not remains to be seen, sure the game has some serious issues, but i don't think they are ready to throw in the towel just yet, who knows they might even make the game 'acceptable' although personally i don't think turning the game into a F2P MMO would actually improve it, if anything it might actually hasten the games demise. The current crop of P2P MMO's, are unlikely to embrace F2P as an option, i think people just have to accept that some games, not only don't need to go F2P but are unlikely to do so any time soon. Though given some of the practices of some of the F2P MMO's i would say that F2P is not really in the best interests of players anyway, and probably never will be.
To the OP
Were already into half this year, it hasn't even come out for the consoles yet, so your F2P wont be arriving anytime this year.
However if you can wait till next year, I would do that, but still that is not a guarantee.
So if your hard up for cash, skip it and wait till next year.
