Returning player/buddy keys

So I plan on resubbing to DF:UW shortly, but my gaming money is all used up for the month and I don't want to risk the wrath of the wife by using our main account.  So...once I can actually download the client (maintenance right now FTL), can a buddy key be used to give me a couple free days to become reacclimated?  I know it's a long shot, but if I didn't ask, I'd never get trolled, so I figured I'd ask.  Worth a shot, right?

    No, buddy keys are only for brand new account not for inactive accounts.
