Keybindings reset everytime I quit the game .

I recently reformatted my PC . Upon reloading lotro I set my key bindings again only to find when I quit they completly reset to their defaults so when I log in again I have lost all the key mappings I have set . I have looked on the forums and I have tried going into my documents menu going in under the lotro.keymap file and have made sure its not set to read only . It seems a lot of people are having problems with this but in six years of playing the game it is something I have never encountered before .I'm trying re-installing the game but in the event that doesn't work does anyone know of a solution that works ?

Some things that might work:

-If the computer has multiple accounts, make sure that you're logged on as administrator

-Run the game client as administrator

-Try installing the game into a different folder. Don't place it into any of the preset folders coming with Windows, but create one yourself. eg. c:gameslotro

EDIT: Make sure the game exits correctly. The keybinds are likely written to disk when the game quits, so that if the game crashes instead of shutting down normally it won't even try to save them /EDIT

I also think it's some kinda (pc user) account mishap. By default, the keymap file is in the Documents folder as you mentioned too. I know it's just a wild guess, but you have the same username on the reformatted windows? And it's not enough to check that it's not read-only, you need to give permission to LotRO for access it. (or just simply reinstall)

I know after I reinstalled Win7 the last time, at first the UAC kept complaining when I tried to write/delete files on my storage hdd which were copied there with the previous install of the very same Win7...

Another thing to consider if your using win8

Win8 default admin acccount isn't full admin is still has **** restrictions on them, i found the only way to get full admin is enable the admin account and use that instead of the default one set up during windows.

Fecking Microsoft dumbing down for the ineducated makes life a bitch for us who know difference between good porn sites and bad porn sites.
