People seem confused on how this system works. Below is HOW it works in simply terms
- Mastery gear requires a booster
- Each type mastery gear can be assigned to ANY BOOSTER.
- You can only assign 1 weapon type and 1 armor type to a single booster i.e. 1h sword and leather (set 1) armor to the same booster while you assign 2h weapon and heavy robes to a second booster (2nd set)
- This means you can assign metal armor (warrior) to INT and still wear dread as long as you meet the total booster requirement.
- However, assuming the system is balanced properly, a person in robes will do MORE damage than you against another person in metal armor. The trade off between defense and offense is supposedly maintained
- Boosters also have a more direct impact on skills
- You can also mix boosters and therefore have access to different gear types if you want
- Eventually you'll be able to mix match all armor pieces
