Do You Need A High Arena Rating To Get The Best PvP Gear?

Hi guys, i wanted to know if the arenas in swtor are the same as in wow

where you need a rating for the gear.

    No, the only items a high rating unlocks are vanity rewards.

    You need a Valor rating of 40 to convert the wz comms to the higher end comms. But thats it.

    You get special rewards but you need to PVP to get come for the gear!
