Just to put peoples minds at ease, i'd like to show a screenshot and post the specs of my PC aswel as my game settings to show that the game is getting more optimized and things are coming along and getting better

PC -

i7 4770k - Corsair H80 Cooling

2 x Sapphire Radeon R9 290 video cards, screenshot was taken with 1 single card

Asus Sabertooth Z77

Corsair AX 850w Gold 80 PSU

16gb Corsair vengeance

2 x 256gb Corsair Force 3 SSD in raid 0

1 x 2TB / 1 x 4TB WD data drives

NZXT Phantom full tower case

2 x Samsung 24" LED monitors

Logitech G19 Keyboard / Razer Mechanical 2014 naga

Screenshot of FPS - Level 13 spellslinger in large environment with a town just behind me and lots of mobs running around 1920 x 1080 windowed borderless mode (not fullscreen), it jumps between 60 - 80fps when i took that screenshot it was at about 71 before i stopped running and jumped to 80 as i took it, since the past couple of days playing over an array of character and such i havent seen it drop below 50fps using the settings i'm using and my hardware might have something todo with that.. but just before open beta with the same hardware i was running max 45fps, so it is getting better which is a good thing obviously.

http://puu.sh/8J2mx.jpg                  http://puu.sh/8J2rV.jpg

Settings -

View Distance - 640

View Distance (Horizon) - 1536

Clutter Distance - 64

Max Camera Distance - 32

Texture Quality - High

Texture Filtering - Anisotropic

Dynamic Shadows - Off - Turning them to hih drops my average frames by about 7 - 10 fps, so turning them off is pretty big

Anti-Aliasing (FXAA) - Ultra High

Clutter Density - High

Small Object Detail - High

Render Resolution - Normal

Surface Material Quality - Normal

The point of this is that it's getting better thats all, not trying to convince you the game is amazing, it isnt for everyone, not trying to sell it to you, just for people who are interested but were on the fence due to performance... the performance is getting fixed :)

This is also helping....most of my guild did this and are now at 70-90 fps

For those who didnt click the link:

    <div may-blank-within"="">

    Deleted everything in C:Users%username%AppDataRoamingNCSOFTWildStar folder

Looks like outdated config files from early beta and conflicted addon settings that left from UI 1.0 were reason of my poor game perfomance. After "clean boot" I got visible FPS boost on the same video settings that I used before.

I m guessing that a huge % of the optimization problem comes from UI 2.0 and the ingame addons. Yesterday i changed the original nameplates with Bijiplates addon and i saw a significant raise to fps. If you check the  Dev answer in forums they said that most of the ingame addons are already getting optimized (among other things like cpu load etc) as they are indeed a big part of the problem.

yeah thats a big thing of course, i mean as much as i like the new UI and i feel it's less cluttered n such, sometimes the game loads before the UI makes me feel like the UI still has a bit of work to be done to it.

UI 2.0 introduced not a long time ago, so its logical to expect that it still needs optimization. But this is something that doesn't bothers me a lot, because i know and i have already experienced it, that WS Devs are working hard and fix things fast, while they are always in communication with the community, giving info and answers.

I m very optimistic about the game and i m not feeling this often for games.

I never had any FPS issues last year during beta with a first gen i7 and a GTX460. Always over 60 with high settings and 1080p

I downloaded the game, played about an hour and the first thing I noticed was the fps drops. THis was two days ago. Turned me off a bit since I'm running a i-7 4820k along with a Nvidia GTX 760. But, being the veteran MMO'er that I am, I know, launches and pre-launches, that this is normal, or to be expected. You have to give a game several months to work out the basic kinks like that. So I lowered the setting to a medium level and continued on.

Now, I know some will disagree with this, but I don't mind the art work and direction the devs have taken, however the running animations drive me crazy. My exile human, which I always always play humans in my MMO"s, runs like a ballerina running across a stage in a performance. Absolutely drives me crazy, to the point I really hate that aspect.

I will say this though, will I buy it and spend time with the game? Atm no, BUT, this is a special game. I dont' know why, but everything from the login screen, to the character creation, to the 10 or so min intro into the game, etc. You can really tell that the Devs not only care about what they do, but they love the world they have created and draws a lot of respect from me. You can just feel it. I can't explain it any better than that, and again, I have a lot of respect for the Devs now.

I can't play the game now, but I definitely will 2 or 3 months after release. I know maybe to some what i said will not make sense, but I know there are those who will know exactly what I'm talking about.

Those settings are very similer to what I run.

I think you could squeeze a bit more fps without giving up much.

I have found Clutter Density, while making the game look better, actually distracts me from the core gameplay a bit by blocking elements.  I like to reduce my Clutter as low as I can.

Have you tried lowering your Anti-Alias 1 step at a time until you do not like how it looks then just leave it on the previous step.  Most people will not even see a difference between high and ultra...personally i like to keep it around medium.

Personally I never expect a game to be able to handle max setting on release...no matter what system a person has.  It is all a matter of finding a balance by lowering the settings that are least important to you so you can raise the more important settings.  If  a person  can not find a good balance they either need to upgrade there system or stop being so demanding and picky about having to run almost everything on Max.

i mean 80fps i aint really complaining.. i usually run with vsync on i was just curious what i'd get, now i'd like the devs to program into their video API mantle enabling, so i can turn that puppy on and watch my FPS go beast mode, but i mean as i said i usually limit my video to 60 anyway.

Game looks very similar to SWTOR imo. They aren't using the hero engine are they? :)

Grats to you! I'm still stuck at 20 to 25 fps no matter what setting I use and or what fix I try.

doesnt matter if they were, the version of the hero engine swtor used was an alpha build, that they basically hacked to bits anyway... the current iteration of the hero engine is actually quite good and powerful and nice to work on.

would you take a picture pointing the camera to a bunch of players in town?

Not saying the game isnt getting better optimized, it is. But fps tend to be higher when no players are around and when you are not facing towns because whats on your back isnt being rendered.

they did fix the performance issues, in closed beta I had unplayable 10 to 15 fps. but in open beta is now almost always 60.

Im sure the game is a hit for certain group of players.

    exactly the same as me...

The game is not close to being optimized and this post isn't putting mind at ease because with that kind of setup you shouldn't even be bothered with 60FPS since you should have well over it no matter what you do.

It sucks because I think the Medic is so cool... Just not at his framerates that jump up and down from anywhere between 5 and 60. Carbine has a big problem and there's no easy fix. I hope they postpone the launch if necessary until the issues are addressed. You don't get a second chance to launch in this business.

I would test my fps but wildstar completely breaks in 1920x1200.....

It cant detect the proper FoV for its resolution.

Game ran fine for me on a GTX 780 and an i5.  Boring as hell, but performance was OK.  I didn't test any real high pop scenarios like 40-man raids, though, so it could end up being like Rift that way for all I know.
