what build would suit me?

Maybe some vets can help me with the skill tree selection (not the skills themselves) - im just curious what class you think would fit best of what i like as im kinda having a hard time looking through all the cominbations, combos etc...

What i do like is

- i prefer "darker" classes over "good" ones

- i like being tanky and defensive (dont like glass cannons)

- i am not a big bow fan

- i like melee but like mixing in magic

- i like survivability and self sustainabiliy

- i like having a lot of cc

- i enjoy cool animations

- i enjoy shield bashing people in the face

 

i was looking at trees like occultism, defense, auramancy, battlerage and conjuration...but magic could also work... what fits well together?

yeah was thinking about such things

occultism/defense/battle

occultism/defense/auramancy

offucltism/defense/conjuration

or other combinations between the 4

 

lineage 2? lol...hope there are also "normal" looking armors in aa and not only that asian "look how shiny and awesome i am" stuff...

I like the choices listed. Would change the Necromancy to Finesse for stealth and backflip abilities since stealth allows you to get into, out of, and through some challenging situations. Backflip has cool animation and has a chance of instantly casting one of 3 powerful spells.

would it be correct to sum up the trees like this:

magic = magic damage

battle = melee damage

archery = ranged damage

defense = defense

vitalism = heal

conjuration = cc

shadowplay = stealth + utlity

auramancy = ? defense + utlity

necromancy = ? damage and buff/debuff

songs = buffs

 

I am also interested in combinations where i can build a lot of different cross-tree combos... dark knight sounds good ill definatly look into that
