I'm a bit confused here (sorry).
I have the grandmaster pack and it shows me as having it. Do I still need to pledge? (or only if I wanted something like a virtual mission or something?) Also, is this still under development (and thus the companion app isn't yet available?)
Sorry, just trying to figure out how much of my life this is going to suck up now as opposed to later, since it will definitely suck up some of my life once the game is live. It's just unclear what is available now and what is yet to come and what I already get as a grand master subscriber in TSW.

I'm just a player, but: what do you need help with? Have you been to the pledge website yet and/or do you have a Grandmaster code you need to claim?
Fun fact: Since the mail was sent out to Grandmasters we've raised more than 700 dollars and gotten 30 new members.
If only I knew about this before it was over. Anyway it was fun reading about the missions even though I'm not very good at it, but it got kinda addictive trying to open the door back in the day.

I have never heard of a crowdfunding page on mmorpg, as it must be really new or I just missed an official announcement or something. If you're just using MMORPG during your crowdfunding campaign than these threads are treated like every other thread that hits the front page and viewed by members of MMORPG.
I'm shocked nobody is talking about pledges/crowdfunding on MMORPG!
Why is only one campaign running? do you have a premium VIP position? Why not host a campaign on Indiegogo or Kickstarter and gain significantly more views and money? what benefits do you have coming to MMORPG and hosting a crowdfunding campaign?
What is the Black Watchmen and why should any member of MMORPG care when no real details are released about who your team is and who is making the game. Who supports your game behind the scenes, what concept art could you show and such? (Professionally speaking from the advertisement posts you made this week offered zero links that can direct a normal MMORPG user to understanding what your project is and what is going on.
What is going to get me to click on your pledge page and take time out of my day to watch your video and or potentially support you. Do you care at all if MMORPG members support your project at all, or are you just using MMORPG while bringing fans from who knows where to the pledge page, either way I keep seeing your thread pop up on the front page and so here I am.
I just don't think anyone knows what 'The Black Watchman' really is or cares to take time out of their day to watch a video from a random (Not a Moderator/Administrator) just a regular user advertising on MMORPG which happens from time to time. But it keeps popping up on the front page and it caught my interest and now I see a whole new page with some legit stuff going on. Again - why not kickstarter?

I'm confused cause no offense to the open poster throughout the week, I thought you weren't professional in your postings and that reflected my opinion on the game for a bit (earlier in the week) now I'm just shocked. I must be out of the loop since iv never heard of this game.

Edit: Alright let me calm down - Still getting over the fact that this has the backing of funcom and that MMORPG actually is crowdfunding, and now I finally see the button on the main page leading to pledging, which means this has the support of MMORPG.

*Reply2Below* Thanks! I loved the pre-launch for TSW which was tons of fun, I see now the confusion came over my lack of understanding for ARGs. Those letters together are unfamiliar to me.TSW forums were always fun for riddles and secrets that were hidden amongst the years and all the effort it took to get pieces of information to slab together, with this being tied to TSW and relating to funcom and tying itself to 'The Secret World' It's no wonder why im having such a hard time finding links and why things are so lid-tight. I love online puzzles and I may just donate to this and guide some friends who also shared a bit of love for ARG's if that's what you call them?
As much as I loved the previous ARGs I think I'm passing on this one... I mean what kinda secret society member is giving out his/her personal infos, right?
(ok, the truth is I'm just a lazy basement-dweller, so solving puzzles and brainstorming via chat is one thing, running up and down with phone+gps is a whole different one. Geocaching s.cks big time btw. Of course imo.)
I admit if there will be unique cosmetic items at the end of it for the participants, I'll be very envy

edit: Chii-Nii, there was a post earlier, that Human Equation and mmorpg.com are partners in this, I think that's why the pledge is here and not on kickstarter for example.
Because the people making it made the pre-launch ARG for TSW (which was all sorts of awesome, probably better imo than TSW), and have a history of ARGs, which people have quite enjoyed.
If the quality continues as is in the 6 missions already out, then I can fully see why people throw money at it.
From my understanding, even before the 6 missions which have been completed were launched, people were signing up from ARG sites.
Hi Chii-Nii!
Human Equation did the TSW ARG: Gate 33 Pre-launch and The End of Days ARG. We also did Warhammer 40k: Eternal Crusade ARG (+The initial launch, forums and website) and we did our grasroot project, a 6 years long ARG on unfiction called Behind the Yellow Curtain showcasing the Qadhos organisation.
Since we invented the Black Watchmen and all the ARG content related to it, we felt that much more could be done. So we decided to acquires licenses rights for Black Watchmen's IP.
After that, our choice was to either go funds ourselves on kickstarter, right between a nutritionist who want to make the next Soylent Green and the 200000000th games who want to be fund raised. So we contacted MMORPG and pitch them the idea:
You are a site that care about mmorpg and gaming in general and we felt you are the perfect platform to create a dialog between developer and gamer, much more then kickstarter or indie go go... So can we used your forums and game page as our official site.
And they said yes. So it's a first. It's and experiment for them. It does bring a lot of new member, hopefully you will see they are quality members that can contributes to the overall site. As for our pledge, it's a first. And hopefully it will get funded.
