[WIP] TakeOver: HTML5 location-aware game, looking for Alpha Testers

We (small indie studio) recently released the Open Alpha of our HTML5, location-aware, lightweight RPG - TakeOver. We're in need of Alpha Testers, and I'd really appreciate you taking the time to send us some feedback or submit some bugs :)

You can play on any device: takeover.to

In TakeOver, the Red Emperor, an evil dude, has hidden the story world underneath a thing called reality. You and your Facebook friends become knights and ladies, and your major quest is to rediscover the story world by doing RPG stuff like defeating the Red Emperor’s Non-Player Characters to loot treasure chests and levelling up. Near future development plans include owning hex cell, taking over hex cells from others, and teaming up in clans to dominate the World.

There are few open issues that we know of, but please send us any suggestions, comments, as well as any bugs you might encounter at [email protected]or takeover.uservoice.com. If bugs, please add the device, operating system, browser version, as best as you can steps needed to reproduce the bug, your Facebook user id... screenshot would be awesome (we'll grant you 100 Gems coupon :) ).

How does location affect the game mechanics?

The map is static/permanent and ubiqutous to all users. Meaning there's a fixed amount of magic trees around you. Logging in from multiple locations allows you to pick more. The same with NPCs, even though they are generated per player, per level.

We have a major feature update coming in a few weeks, and you'll be able to own hex cells. The more territory you own, the closer you get to taking over the World :)

And you'll do that in clans, which makes everything way more entertaining: think of work or school collegues, neighbors, visiting and teaming up with friends from distant locations.

We've just posted a major update containing new PvP features and more:
+ takeover (occupy) hex cells, permanently on the World map, visible by others
+ defend and reinforce owned cells by dropping minions in them
+ takeover hex cells from others by dropping minions in a 24h siege (battle solves similar to PvE)
+ rally friends to help you in battles and have them drop minions in the cells under siege
+ travel between owned cells or cells in which you are engaged in conflict

+ ability to register with email (not only Facebook)
+ in-game notification system for all major PvP in-game events
+ email notifications for all major PvP in-game events
+ button for temporarily switching between the virtual and the underlying city map
    - removed the annoying tutorial
    * changed the loot system to opt for XP or Coins
    * tweaked the economy and progression flow
    * numerous bug fixes and UI/UX improvements
