I have been thinking that I should try this MMO since its a popular, I have heard good things but I would Like to hear what players think about it. Give me your feedback. I want to know.

I would recomend...NO!!!
Afetr what SOE did to all the vets in the game with the new CU(read the forums) i wouldnt recomend buyin an SOE game if they were the only 1's available in the world.
o yea, fyi, i played for 18 months and had 2 accouynts and i canceled 2 days after the last update went live. just to give you a hint on how bad the devs are......stay away, far, far away

For a new player its worth buying (Total experience package) or checking out with a free trial (which will inevitably come soon). You wont "Feel" many of the changes that pissed off some of the veterans (as you will see when reading some of the threads here) as you have never seen the old system.
I recommend you wait til June .. by then the dust of post patch post wookiee expansion bug fixing will have settled.

How does the pvp system work? i'm sure i could find it on the SWG site, But im not a big fan of the suger coated stuff

A Legend was Born
It's not so popular since they dropped a level-based EQ-clone game on top of the old Classic SWG game. It's no longer noob-friendly unless you get lucky and get snapped up by a large and supportive Player Association (guild) that has a solid core of noob-trainers in it. Those not so fortunate will find themselves at a loss on how to play, as it is difficult for even a vet to start from scratch without serious financial and physical assistance.
If you absolutely HAVE to try it, wait at least a month to do so, as they are in the agonizing process of straightening out the fact that they put something that wasn't ready for an open beta on the live servers and are suffering a serious exodus of their existing playerbase because of it. Not much advertised on thier packaging applies anymore, so be prepared for a lot of "surprises".
