    I don't think a voting system would work here, this website is too little about facts and too much about heated opinions. Especially any kind of showcasing for popular posts could be catastrophic: Those representing the majority opinion could, and likely would, vote those who disagree down and make their posts nearly invisible.

    Vote up yes. It's a tool that can bring a lot of positives to a community. It's nice to know ppl agree even if they don't want to comment.

    Vote down is just a nasty trolling tool that only brings negatives. If you can't quote someone and explain why you don't like their post, then it's better you're opinion is just left in silence.

    More or less. We'd like to see a sort of "Like/Thumbs up" button. But after much discussion we're definitely not going to do any sort of downvote functionality. Too easily abused and misused.

    It's something we want to do. But we have a small team, so you know, development priorities. :)

    It will probably be part of the upcoming website redesign.
