It's snowing in AA, weather system coming?

The newest patch added a "snowing event" in the game, it's now snowing in the world of Arc.

 

The question is: is this just an ingame event for xmass or is it a trial for the upcoming future weather system (XLGames did not announce anything like this yet). Those who don't know yet, there is already a static climate system in the game, where each territory(zone) has it's own climate: dry, temperate, tropical. This climate system has an effect on farming (planting, livestock).

Thats awesome!  One of my favorite things about VG and D&L was the weather.  Especially in D&L, deep snow, freezing lakes etc. 

I cant imagine they would develop weather and then just use it for an event only.  Seems like a lot of work for such a limited scope.

At first I want to ask why you have to be like that, then I remember that it's been almost a year and that you're right! Sarcasm aside, the introduction of a weather system is good for those of us looking for a more immersive game.

This game is many MMORPG'ers wet dream.  It has everything.
