Launcher issues - Java and cookies

JorlJorl Member UncommonPosts: 257

I'm having some difficulty with the launcher. This comes up:

Cannot launch FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn. Cookies and JavaScript must be
enabled under Internet Options. To do so, please carry out the following steps:

1) Open Internet Options.
2) Click the Security tab, then the Custom Level button.
3) Set Active Scripting to Enable.
4) Click the Privacy tab, then the Default button (if available).
5) Click OK.

Shut down FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn.

I had a feeling this will happen, many sites have the s**ty  java scrip and cookies its disgusting. Any way, I won't be able to play unless it's enabled. I've looked into my firefox settings and allowed for the eu ff14 site. But still the launcher won't work. I installed by CD collectors.

Any ideas you can give on how I can allow Java and cookies for the launcher with out having my PC been shagged by other java scrip websites and cookies? I'd be grateful thanks. :)

I found out what the problem was. The launcher uses internet explorer and I happen to have a secure block on the cookies. Problem solved.
