Fallout Online - unofficial server starts 31/08/2013

Dear Fallout fans!

I would like to announce the official launch of new free to play mmorpg server, which is based on fallout series.

First session of FOnline: Reloaded will start on 31/08/2013

In game we are creating our character according to our preferences

Unlike in Fallout series, here we have Two types of perks to choose from:

- standard perks, which are given with increasing experience

and

- support perks, that we get from the NPC as a quest reward or fulfill the conditions

Character development is virtually unlimited, we can assume the racial killer, Doctor, Crafter, slave-hunter, Treasure Hunter, a thief, a miner, trader, scout, leader of mercenaries and various hybrids of these professions.

As developers and gamers at the same time we want to maximize fun of the game, so the mechanics has been redesigned in such a way as to had an opportunity to develop characters in each class.

Character development is based on the above-mentioned perk system and skills familiar with the Fallout series.

We expanded crafting system objects enriching them with additional prefixes known from other MMORPG games.

We created a new dungeons where players can find a variety of unique items.

Introduced caravans traveling between cities where the player has the ability to embody the security guard to go past caravana arrived safely to its destination.

Balanced PvP system:

- system to fight for control of the cities of northern California for the factions controlled by the players,

- the combat system in the Arena - Hinkley next to the HUB, it is location where the fight takes place on several different maps adapted to different amounts of players,

- Fight Club in the basement of HUB for players who like characters fighting with fists,

- Skirmish on Wastelandzie available during Real-Time and Turn Base

Improved numerous quests and reward for their performance.

Balanced requirements needed to create faction bases.

Improved the system of caves in which adventurers have a chance to find rare items.

[As a treasure hunter You will explore ruins of houses in search of hidden objects in crates by their pre-war owners.

Players have been provided with new vehicles from Motorbike to a Vertibird.

And much more....

I got this downloaded and running, and was killed by some guards because I walked next to them.

I'm not sure how many people are going to really get into this game, but it's very much a "hard core" game. You will die, die, die, die, die, die, die, die, die and then die some more. They aren't trying to get you to buy things from their cash shop because there isn't one. They just want you to die, die, die, die and die.

But there's no PvP until level 10 so it's OK.

    **

The amount of work done on this is ridiculous though. As in if it weren't based on the Fallout 2 game and was a unique property they could probably run it as a commercial property.

I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.

Looks awesome. I'm going to check it out.

Looks like the wiki has a new players guide. Main point I see is "In the beginning, trust nobody. Seriously, newbie-abuse is very popular."
