What does this mean?

All Combat Professions will be able to revise their character’s skills/stats

-For two weeks, players can test the new features and then revise.
-All combat character skills can be adapted – the level remains equivalent.

It's going to take awhile to get used to this update So how will i be able to test it out in live without losing out?

As i havn't played the new update is there any guide sites to all the professions?

It means you can reassign your combat skill points any way you want for 2 weeks ... without the need to grind XP in various professions. At the end of this period ... whatever you have chosen will become permanent. So you can try to be a Bountyhunter, Commando, Pikeman .. whatever .. and find the combo you like. The more combat related skill points you have, the more you can vary.

The Profession forum http://forums.station.sony.com/swg?category.id=professions  is the way to start to get the info you want (usually at the top were the sticky posts are .. but expect some turmoil in the forum when the patch hits - opinions vary).
